You cannot expand this logo no matter what software. The only way to do what you are asking is to have a vector of it. If you are printing you might get away with rebuilding the letter in photoshop but that still won't allow you to cut on a plotter

When you create a path for the text to follow make sure you also create stroked lines above and/or below the text. That way when you apply the distortion/envelope tool, make sure both the text and lines are selected so all are distorted/curved at the same time. Alternately you can go in by hand...

It does not work that way in Illustrator. You do have to manually connect the shadow by adding lines and segments to give it the 3d extruded effect. It can be done using the 3d extrude filter in Illustrator but not if you want to cut it in vinyl as this method produces way too many shapes and points

You are correct OP. The site did not list a vga port in the description so I guess it required investigation to find the rear view. I will still say though that the samsung is a better monitor for resolution and refresh rate. Plus that Toshiba does not have a dvi port
