Same thing here. I never change my force and it cuts out great. The only time I have a problem is with the "PLS-9858 METAL FLAKE SILVER". Then I have to adjust the force.

Have you powered it off fow a minute lately? If so is it a Dell? There should be a Blue "Fcn" key on your left and a little Blue sun pic on your up arrow. Maybe that will work.
