  1. Triangle Inks - To move or not to move.

I didn't catch which machine you had-- profiling takes time and money for the correct equipment. We found when we switched that most of the VersaWorks profiles were adequate without much change. The ink was close enough that, while you would be able to tell a difference, you wouldn't be too...
  2. Triangle Inks - To move or not to move.

It's all a simple matter of print volume. If you're not doing a lot, the extra effort for the initial setup and the daily maintenance might kill any benefits. If, however, you find yourself going through sets of ink a month, then yes I'd look in to it. OEM: 440ml= $109 so 1L = ~$250...
  3. Problems with Triangle Ink

We've had all sorts of problems with two different batches of black MLD ink. Clogs, clogs, clogs. I wonder what's going on over there? The other five colors are working fine at the moment.
  4. Summa S160 T / Onyx 7.3

I see I should have been clearer. The print was always shorter than the cut itself. I said tracking for lack of a better word, which was obviously a poor choice of words.
  5. Summa S160 T / Onyx 7.3

Got this from tech support @ Onyx: "What version of the Onyx software are you running? To find this go to the Help menu from the Rip-Queue and select About (bottom option). The version build number will be in blue text in the lower right. There was an issue in 7.3.0.57 with Summa...
  6. Summa S160 T / Onyx 7.3

    1. Tried with both settings of pressure on the rollers. It's 54" wide media, so the rollers are as evenly spaced throughout the media as possible 3. Yes brand new out of the box. 4. Autoload is On, 3M 1J180-C v3 media w/ laminate and 3M IJ 35-10, Have tried it both with the roll and...
  7. Summa S160 T / Onyx 7.3

While looking at Onyx's website last night I came across this: http://www.onyxgfx.com/index.php?area=viewinfo&action=kbase&id=50170000000OmCeAAK Which seems to indicate Onyx has a problem. I sent over an email to see if this knowledgebase article is still valid, and if so if the driver they...
  8. Summa S160 T / Onyx 7.3

Anyone have this combination? Here's my trouble: Just got a Summa S160T. I use Onyx RIP, version 7.3. When I print images in lengths of five feet or smaller, the Summa tracks perfectly when doing the cut. When I get to any lengths of media longer than that the cutter gets off track...
  9. print while ripping...

It does work. Two things I've found: 1) It doesn't seem to work on Nest jobs (it works as normal-- rips then prints) and 2) It doesn't save the RIP file for later use (so if you print again you'll be ripping again). Other than that it works as advertised.
  10. Seiko Color Painter

Who did you get it from? I was working with Midwest Sign Supply and they suddenly decided not to carry it anymore....
  11. Seiko Color Painter

Is the H-104s still treating you well? I'm looking to purchase one within the next month. My only hesitation is lack of a user base due to it being so new. However, the Seiko/Colorpainter name/brand is well respected and I'd assume that my concern should prove to be non-existent.
  12. XC-540 Service Call 109

Symptom: Even though the machine carries out the regular movement, the output of the Wiper Sensor does not reach the expected value. What to do: Wiper Motor Replacement Wiper Unit Replacement Wiper Sensor Replacement Cable and Flexible Cable Replacement What could be the cause...
  13. versaworks overprint

Just change the offset in the Cut section. We normally leave it at .250mm, but move it to .30mm or even .350mm when doing really small text.
  14. Anyone here have the Jv5? Thoughts on it?

We twice had one for a day. The first machine arrived from the factory trashed-- never got a chance to even get it in the building. The second machine would not print out of head three. The tech spent a good day with Mimaki trying to get it to work before declaring it a dud, putting it back...
  15. A question from Activity to Cyrious

You know the real question is this: why did you let the address go in the first place? I guard my sites carefully under one umbrella. We keep everything. For instance, addresses we use for a month-long promotion are never discontinued. When an address has outlived its purpose we simply...
  16. Latest Roland XC 540 Firmware

Mediaman - Thanks for the information. We've updated to the latest firmware and I'll get Versaworks to update itself to the latest version. We use Versaworks every once in a while (often when print and cut are necessary- Wasatch is kind of funny about this stuff).
  17. Work Order scheduler and tracker software?

I'd be interested in seeing your software but your website is too hard to see anything on. Anyway you can just give us JPG screen shots? The flash things are too small to see any detail.
  18. Latest Roland XC 540 Firmware

I notice this also has a VersaWorks upgrade attached to it. Does this mean you need to run the printer with Versaworks in order to get these speeds? Or would you see them on Wasatch SoftRip as well?
  19. Serivce Mode won't work

Hello All- Got the XC-540 service manual, and am trying to enter service mode. When I do the combination listed in the service manual (hold down, left, right while hitting power) I get SERVICE MODE PROTECTED. It's firmware 1.6. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
  20. GM Goodwrench Logo

Yep first place to look Thanks, Nate
