  3. Roland Printer Driver Problem!!

-85 ... I ran into the same issue when trying to properly install the WINDOWS driver, as you are doing. This has nothing to do with the RIP. The WIN driver allows the SP-300 to be used as any other printer would be, from the 'print' dialog. The tech who originally set mine up couldn't get it...
  4. Incomplete Cutting

I have also had this (or a similar) issue where it would not cut the leading edge of the output. Everything else would cut fine, be it 300 small labels or 1 big complex graphic. My setup is a SP-300/ColoRIP 2.2, EPS or PDF as file type. In my case, I found that this only occurred when I was...

  6. Registration marks, sp300, colorip 2.2

Hey Ken... Yeah, it's a bit confusing, but if you already have the 'marching ants' where you want them, see the attachment for the settings :) You'll also note that your max. print width will decrease as well; keep this in mind when sizing the job. Cheers! Lyle
  7. New SP30v arriving soon, i have acouple questions...

Congratulations! :) The manual, conveniently located INSIDE the box, states that "unpacking and installation must be carried out by four or more persons" :) ...they're right! ...the darn thing is heavy! My SP-300 manual states 355 lbs. as the packed weight. As for the setting up, yes...

  9. Happy 50th, Helvetica! :)

Thanks, Steve C. ....I checked the schedule, and as it turns out, the film is being shown, literally, across the street from me, at Concordia University, in May! And to all that may poke fun at or otherwise deride this endeavor, perhaps a review of some of the recent threads here regarding...

  13. One More Laminator Post And I'm Done!

Steve - mine is a 'Master' brand, identical to the one listed in the link and the 'pdf. located there. I bought mine from my Roland dealer here in Montréal when I purchased my VersaCAMM SP-300. Just had a look to see where it was manufactured, and I don't see a label to that effect. What I am...
  14. One More Laminator Post And I'm Done!

I have had the 52"model for over 2 years and it has performed flawlessly! - with or without the 'crank'! :) It is easy to set up and dead simple to use; not too much can go wrong with it. I don not leave mine 'webbed' and yes, the liner take-up is not motorized but for my application, this is...
  15. Thumnail Pic ???

knight - the easiest way would have been to purchase the boxed version of the upgrade which comes with a very nice printed manual of all the included fonts, clipart, photos, etc., albeit, the clipart filenames are not conducive to being searched upon by keywords; they are all alpha-numeric...

Bonjour de Montréal :) ...your avatar is from one of my all-time fave flicks! ... 'The Fifth Element' ... my sister lives just up the road in Sidney
  17. Does anyone own the new Summa 30" Thermal Printer yet?

To any one who has had their DC3 or DC4 for a while...what kind of real-world maintenance issues are you having, if any. To me, this would seem like one of the major benefits of these machines in the long term over any of the ink jets. Just look at all the posts here with folks having problems...

  20. How to create a e-mail list?

Flame - another way to do this type of promotion perhaps is to set up a podcast/blog and then send a notice ONCE to your list and they can then subscribe to your feed and be automatically updated whenever you broadcast a new one :) ... let THEM do the 'work' :) You may want to have a read...
