No kidding. We just went from about 6 weeks of cold/rain/wind/hail/snow to low 80's the last few days. You are missing out. Sorry I can't otherwise help but if you could come out you would enjoy it. Instant-Signs is pretty close to RC though.
We try to get a $/hr on each job and a $/Day for each day of work and a $/Week and a $/Mo.
We have a number of 'standard' items that we produce and we have an average time/cost that we know so we loose some and win some depending on the details of each particular job.
Given all of that...
if you are wholesale only then this shouldn't be a problem for you but if you are wholesale and retail dba with the same name then you have a place to be concerned.
At this point if you don't get consideration this contract may be invalid. If you sign it and they never buy from you they...
The guy came into my store and wanted to sell me ink and toner. I don't think $165 retail for a single toner cart is chump change. I don't know his margin but he came to me and I thought it was a simple request to purchase from him.
This is on the front page of his website in giant letters...
I thought about that but gave him another chance but I was pretty much done with him when I called the next day, gave him all the info and he called back and asked me to give it to him again. WTF, didn't have a pencil when I called the last time?
I need toner for my laser printer and decide to give a local guy in my city a shot at it. He claims to have ink and toner for every printer out there and he is local. He has come by the shop a lot and is right down the street.
I call during his business hours shortly before his closing and...
The laws in California are pretty clear and winning a lawsuit is a very happy day. Once they don't pay the judgment forget about trying to collect, just file for a 'statement of assets' and they have to come to court with all of their assets so the judge can order sale of them to pay the...
Rick, that is exactly what has happened and is exactly what they are trying to do. A barber does not charge sales tax so only the biz license is revenue for the city. All other retail operations do charge sales tax and that money comes right back to the city.
I don't agree with the method...
Yeah, I think the city is asking for another lawsuit over this. We had a barber forced out because the building was sold. Now they won't give her a biz lic for the new location. It pretty much sux.
This is going on in our city and one next over. Both have old downtown areas. Both are dotted with hair salons and crap-tique stores. In both cities they want to stop issuing biz lic. for hair salons. At the same time they are paying (loaning money) to people who will put a restaurant downtown...
You make some good points.
Of the ones that closed, one was there for 10 years but he just didn't deliver for his customers. One was a second hand store that did banners (a natural combination, huh?) and I don't know how long they were there but it was mis managed as well. The screen print...
3 go out of biz and 2 come in on the same 2 block square around us. go figure.
We had a copy print shop, a screen print shop and and a banner place close up and a screen print shop and sign shop open up, all in 2 blocks square.
does that mean we have a natural distribution?
We give gift cards to local restuarants to our top customers by volume and profit $. We do not give to anyone that would get in trouble for taking the gift or where the situation wouldn't look good, mostly government employees.
