when you upgrade you still need the actual CD or serial number. So legally they cannot sell it to you without transferring ownership
Newer versions are limited to 2 installs. So if the user has not "unregistered" their copy you could be limited to 1 install or none at all. Buyer beware

I think that is called cellphone tethering. Supposedly it can be done with an iphone but is not currently legal through AT&T in the US

Definitely an issue. Once you have a huge investment in software, it is very difficult to go to a Mac or vice versa. Parallels and VMWare are possibilities but I imagine that there could be issues since it is still an emulation

I agree. Emails are making many go to sites that they did non intend to. Emails with titles such as "you have an e-card waiting for you" or "Is this your photo?" or "watch this funny video". They have links which take you to those sites. Some are naive or curious. The ecard gets alot of people...
Somehow I got the feeling it could turn into a mac vs. pc thread. I am a Mac person but I don't push it onto my relatives. One of my in laws switched to a Mac after coming to me and asking for advice due to their frustration. They were easily duped into letting viruses get onto their machine...
You will waste too much time fixing nodes. The curves can be drawn with ovals. Overlap them to match and use the knockout tool to remove the unwanted parts
I often get autotraced logos to fix and it is far easier to start from scratch.
I'm not on a pc. That's my point. It is a webpage disguise to look like a virus infection. When I close the window, it trys to run an .exe file which I am thankfully immune to
