    when you upgrade you still need the actual CD or serial number. So legally they cannot sell it to you without transferring ownership Newer versions are limited to 2 installs. So if the user has not "unregistered" their copy you could be limited to 1 install or none at all. Buyer beware

    Definitely an issue. Once you have a huge investment in software, it is very difficult to go to a Mac or vice versa. Parallels and VMWare are possibilities but I imagine that there could be issues since it is still an emulation Switching is alot easier for a casual user or those willing to buy...

    You will waste too much time fixing nodes. The curves can be drawn with ovals. Overlap them to match and use the knockout tool to remove the unwanted parts I often get autotraced logos to fix and it is far easier to start from scratch.
