    I actually talked to Safety Speed Cut about the sharp edge problem and they brought me a blade that gives a great cut- 860TCGS Premium plastics, thin aluminum $179 Not cheap but works a trick and cheaper than a sheer.

    Mask a 7"x9" area of the full size image ( preferably an area you are concerned about) and print at 100% on your desktop printer- quick, cheap, effective.

    I have been looking at and for a XC-540 and they mostly have a ton of shots on the heads... 8-10 billion common. These are production machines of course and get run hard.     I have struggled with this for years- multipule dry erase boards in different configurations. This year I made a spreadsheet for jobs and shared it so it could be open on our design stations as well as the ptint sta and a station by out main work table. This works for us! I was so encouraged...

    I love my VP540 and am starting to look for a XC540- great machine.It is not a great plotter tho- you need a dedicated plotter as well.
