    They do stay on a long time and they can be noisy that I can tell you. I turn my printer when not in use. Because the heads to dry up, I don't see any reason to keep it running. Best of luck. I love mine & I've had it for over a year..........

    Do you recall where in the manual? I couldnt locate it. I contacted HP support and the tech said they didnt use one because of the circuit breakers on the machine.
