  3. VersaWorks no job log?

Hate when that happens, WMP does the same thing when i'm using my tv at home as an extended desktop and I try to screw with the equalizer and SRS WOW settings. Really wish I could figure out how to dock the damn thing on the bottom of the WMP window like I used to have it on my old PC. Good...
  4. VersaWorks no job log?

Are you using a second monitor that it's going to, or is it popping up behind the versaworks window? Keep in mind, it won't have have a seperate taskbar button, it's considered part of versaworks' window. Mine usually pops up down at the bottom, as in the attached image.
  5. Looking at new equipment...

Don't know about the latex printer, but we've got a Roland VersaCAMM VS-640, awesome machine. As far as whether a print/cut machine is better than having 2 separate machines, couldn't tell you. I'm comfortable only having a print/cut machine, but I can see how having them separate could have...

  10. Question about reducing waste when using the take-up system

I was always under the assumption you had to load the take-up reel before printing, didn't know you could pause during printing and then load it. Not a bad idea, but isn't the whole point of the take-up reel so you don't have to bother with it once it's started?
  11. Question about reducing waste when using the take-up system

thanks for the quick reply. figured it would work, always good to get a second opinion though.
  12. Question about reducing waste when using the take-up system

Long story short, I'm starting on my first really big job today, 35 2'x10' banners. I'll be doing them in sets of about 6 at a time, 2 up on a 54" inch roll, so I'll be doing around 7 sets, and obviously i'll be using the take-up reel. As anyone who's used the take-up reel knows, you have to...
  13. Roland Versacamm print and cut question

Did you have the layout set to "center on media"? that can throw it off sometimes as well if you load it back in in a different spot from where it came out and it reads the sheet size as a different size than what it printed at. if that's the case then don't hit "get media width" in the settings...
  14. Type of vinyl for temporary prices on vehicles

You could always give PhotoTex a shot, it's removable and reusable, and leaves no residue. It's technically for wall graphics but I've heard of people using it on their vehicles, supposedly it also holds up pretty well to the elements. If you check out their website you can get a sample sent out...
  15. Materials

Ugh, mounting... only tip I can give you is go slow, and laminate beforehand. If you happen to get any spray on the print, you're screwed, but if it's laminated, you can take a paper towel and some rubbing alcohol and it comes off with a little elbow grease. Also, if you think it would be...
