  2. Very Old Label - Font Help

Here....he should have fired you when you showed him the Brush Script option. :Big Laugh The vector file isn't perfect but it's close enough for small labels.
  3. Video sample

Forget the font....Colin, what in the hell were you doing watching Property Virgins?
  4. Old Landlord says I must pay new tenants bills......

You did the right thing, just get the utilities turned off, accept whatever the bills are that the current tenants have run up in week as your penalty for gettting out of the lease, and go on with life in your new house!
  5. Our Website First Draft

Doesn't matter....that's WAY too much reading. Seriously, cut the wording in half, at least, on the front page.
  6. Sign Company Names

See....if you would have left the "I" out of House of Grafix you could have been fashionably trendy too.
  7. Move Your Money

Actually, as much as I find both of them repulsive he's making a damn good point. Just another example of the growing shift away from Democrat vs. Republican and over to the people vs. the system. I moved my personal accounts and business accounts over to a local credit union last week but not...
  8. holy cow!

Welcome aboard. You've got to explain how you've been trained for one week and turned loosed with 4 printers to run a solvent printing area all by yourself!

Make sure you spell it all cutting edge and trendy too so you'll really stand out. Nosnarb Vynle Synz 'n Grafx
  10. Anyone doing any letterpress?

A couple of years ago I salvaged about 500 pounds of type and a small roller press from a sign shop that was about to be bulldozed. I still haven't managed to find the time to play with it but it just seemed a damn shame to let it go to a landfill. They tried for years to find someone to buy...
  11. Do not even consider a FASTSIGNS franchise!!!!

I haven't actually seen a full sign franchise operating manual but I'm willing to be they are like most other franchises....you're not buying a business as much as you're buying a system. The system and very little training will give you enough of a basic knowledge to get started, anything else...
  12. Do not even consider a FASTSIGNS franchise!!!!

Hey OP, according to both FastSigns and SignsNow their most successful owners had no experience in signs when they started.
  13. Because we don't eat real food...

Sorry, but 30 seconds into the video they point at bacon and brand it TOXIC. I quit watching at that point. Bacon is holy and such labels are pure blasphemy.
  14. Do not even consider a FASTSIGNS franchise!!!!

Hey, I'm just speculating. Just one of those things I think of whenever I see a business closing (which this one may or may not be)....you're seeing somebody who went out on a limb, took a chance on a better life and in the end they crashed and burned. That can be devastating for most people.
  15. Do not even consider a FASTSIGNS franchise!!!!

Could be a typo, could be that he financed the franchise fee or startup costs through them and everything combined is taking 18% off the top. Could just be somebody who invested his life savings into his dream of running his own business, read the FastSign franchise sales info and bought in...
  16. Do not even consider a FASTSIGNS franchise!!!!

HOW MUCH ARE THE ONGOING FEES? There is a 6% royalty based on monthly gross sales and a 2% National Advertising Fund fee, also based on monthly gross sales.
  17. Reselling at quantity

your cost of $1.50 psf sounds kind of high if they're just standard 10 oz vinyl, hemmed and grommeted. That's what signs365 gets for one off banners. You should be able to get that at less than $1 psf from a good wholesaler.
  18. FREE Welcome Home banners for the troops coming home

You're using OP math again. It's 3 million. Still a brilliant marketing plan even after you add in all the overhead associated with it.
  19. mining for gold. second time around.

You know what always struck me as funny about the show was that Todd and his dad always weighed the gold in the tent in private, no cameras, no other miners. I got to thinking last night that the mining season should be coming to an end so somewhere out there somebody knows how they did in...
  20. saying goodbye

Got the word SHIRT in the spelling bee. You live in Tennessee. I'm guessing this was in high school, huh?
