  1. Cut Vinyl on Glass? Will it fail?

I think the opposite is true regarding the legality of window graphics. Legal in most states and prohibited in a handful. In my experience, the rear window in my example allows plenty of see around visibility and is not a problem to the driver or the appointed safety bureaucracy. It's all...
  2. Cut Vinyl on Glass? Will it fail?

Not sure who would tell you something like that. Cut or printed and cut vinyl lettering and graphics on vehicle glass is a core use of the medium. As with any substrate, you want to be sure to clean it before application and be sure to use a grade of vinyl that is appropriate for the intended...

  4. Throwback Thursday Font Question - Gerber Helvetica Medium

At one point when my company was a wholesale letter service, we had three Signmakers ( a 4, a 4A and a 4B) and three operators. We regularly produced over 5,000 letters a day. When we upgraded to faster equipment, what we found was that our workflow changed but our production increase was...
  5. Throwback Thursday Font Question - Gerber Helvetica Medium

The connection was that Compugraphics wanted to have their own private label vinyl cutter and Gerber needed software. Compugraphics got a vinyl cutter they named Arty and Gerber got whatever. URW was not in the picture as they were busy making Icarus font digitizing systems and being the...
  6. Throwback Thursday Font Question - Gerber Helvetica Medium

Gerber's Helvetica Medium has always been a weight that no one else has. Probably something that the old Compugraphics Corp. had in their library since they had a lot of dealings with Gerber in the early going. It was ported over to all Gerber's sign making apps such as Graphix Advantage and...

  8. font id please

Font Normal is a general description given to the regular member of a font family such as Machine. If you are looking for all the shadowing and sculpturing in your sample, that was likely done in a program such as Illustrator or Photoshop after the normal version of the font was entered as text.

  10. BigfishDM got banned?

I've followed that thread and can point out the following: A significant number of posted replies are from non customers chiming in with their opinions. No contact with me has been received from any of the members who are customers lodging complaints with documentation of any wrongdoing...
  11. BigfishDM got banned?

When and if they are brought to my attention, they will be. Is there someone you can name and provide documentation of the screwing? I have not heard any complaint from you either publicly or privately. But yes, we will investigate and act accordingly against any member, Merchant or otherwise...

  17. need a cmyk print from a fellow edge owner

From the OP's post #1: Having read most of his other posts and helped him on some of them, I am confident that he knows how many process foils are needed to produce a 4 color process print.
  18. font id please

Might have started out as Machine Bold.
  19. need a cmyk print from a fellow edge owner

The OP has an Edge FX which will print at a higher resolution than many inkjets. Any other issues can be dealt with very well with appropriate dot pattern selection and LPI settings. The OP already stated that he already has two of the four needed.
  20. Flexi V6.6x Win 7pro x64 in XP Mode

It was most likely developed when Win95 was the latest version around the mid 1990s. The version 6 series was published after the Scanvec/Amiable Technologies merger and was much more like CasMate then Flexisign. It didn't do very well and the merged business was bought out by a group of...
