By far the easiest way to print and cut directly from Adobe Illustrator was MacImprint, courtesy of GSP themself. Simple, fast and powerful. No importing from another app. No dongle. Still running it on Illy 10, Mac OS X. Just an amazing product the the PC Weinie distributors never promoted.

Nope, that's Graphtec's baby alone. If you're already doing your design work in Illy get the cheapest simplest driver that you can. No need for a full design/cut app like Flexi.

If you're buying a Graphtec, their own CuttingMaster plug in works great.

These are a couple of letters from an old logo that has been converted to outlines years ago. My customer is looking for a new rendition and having the real font would be a great timesaver. What the Font didn't come close.

It never hurts to quit the apps and in your utilities folder, boot disk utility and run repair permissions. You should make it a practice to do this before you install any app.

Make sure your vector outline is on top of your bitmap image.Select them both and hit Command>7 or controll>7 if your on a pc.

Dave, it looks like the same font that you use in your logo, just give it a slant. That looks like a 10 minute trace job to me. You only have 3 semi-difficult letters to do.

For what it's worth, I've been using Cutting Master in Illustrator on my Mac for 3 or 4 years now and it's been pretty much flawless. It's fast and stable. I can be cutting on my Graphtec with CM at the same time I'm cutting on my GsX with MacImprint without missing a beat.

Did you accidently change the command line? Menu>Interface>Command> HPGL/GPGL I switch mine back an forth depending which workstation I'm using. My old Mac G3 uses Signpost and HPGL code with a serial connection. MY G4 used Graphtec's Cutting Master and GPGL with the USB connection.

Have you looked for a Mac RIP? I currently use PosterJet on my Powerbook to print to my HP5000. I also have a demo disk for a RIP form Caldera Graphics. PosterJet is currently running in Classic therefore, my interest in Caldera. They keep promising an OS X update soon though.
