  1. Buying our first home

Some things to consider about old houses: -Insulation. Most of them don't have insulated exterior walls, if they do it was done with blown in batting that will have settled. The 2500 sf 80 year old home I lived in cost almost $400 a month to heat and I only ran the heater when I was home...
  2. Questions I'm tired of hearing

...and if you do cave in and do them a kick ass layout they'll want to know why you can't do it for the same price as the guy up the road who only uses black helvetica.
  3. Questions I'm tired of hearing

Can you just invoice us for that? Is that price the best you can do? Do you offer discounts for churches/military/policemen/etc.? Do you want to donate signs to (insert every "charity" ever thought of here)? Can I speak to the person who handles your credit card processing? Why is...

  9. coroplast contour cutting

The easiest way would be to order them from Georgia Printco for $33 each printed, cut and ready to go with a stand already on them. If you want to do them yourself I've done quite a few of them by mounting vinyl to the coro (paper is just asking for trouble) and cutting them out with a jigsaw...

Man, you've got some slack-assed employees if they're only cranking out 5 yard signs a day each.
  11. Am I Crazy?

Just out of curiosity....how long do you think it would take you to cut, weed, and apply 300 coro signs?
  12. quality pinup vectors (or lack there of)

"Everything on that girl looks good butterface." If you do a search on istockphoto.com for "vector pinup" there are some pretty good designs that would be ready to cut scattered through the results. There are quite a few that could be cut with a little work. Also try this...
  13. removing painted vehicle lettering

Heck, they're a body shop. Tell them right up front that you MAY be able to get the lettering off but that you probably can't without doing some damage. Tell them that if they're willing to accept the risk AND the responsibility for repainting it if it comes to that then you're willing to give...

  16. $2.88 for Coroplast Signs with wire stakes!

...or Alabama, it's all the same. Don't get me wrong about the pricing. We sell printing for considerably more than the prices they show. Just about every shop in town now subs printing work out to them....if you can't beat them then find a way to use them.
  17. $2.88 for Coroplast Signs with wire stakes!

Local retail $2.25 each, 500 double sided two color 18x24 with stakes. www.bushsigns.com ... my friendly local retailer who is cheaper than any wholesaler I've found. Damn fine people, though, I sub out all my printing to them.
