You should reload your original parameters. Mimaki dealer can get them for you. Load them, and don't do capping alilgnments in the future unless you are very careful and know what you are doing.

  3. cap station not holding fluid...

Most likely cause is pump failure. Not a total failure, but it no longer 'pinches' the tube closed when in the 'nozzle wash mode'. New pump will fix this. If you replace one pump, you may want to go ahead and replace the other. Chris RippinPC
  4. JV5 clogged/deflected black nozzles

Be careful Many users experienced black ink issues after switching to K2 Mimaki ink. You may have done this without even knowing it as you probably didn't have a choice. Don't take your heads out unless you know what you are doing as the JV5 is much harder to calibrate than most other...

I think I have some of these. Send me a PM and we can work a deal.
  6. OZZIE FROM DOWN UNDER JV3130SL ISSUE "help pls""

You may consider getting someone more knowledgeable in this area in there to help you in person. You sound like you need a day of training on printing and JV3 operation/maintenance. You should take a picture or scan of exactly the problem you are having. You may clear up your problem by...
  7. JV3 1394 Board

Just do test draws and cleanings w/o the firewire board. It boots up with communication error, but doesn't stop the machine. Don't let the printer sit w/o power. I can get you one, but pricing from Mimaki is only going up. Chris
  8. Banding Problems

Head Slant. Y base. X Base. Fine Y si, Fine Y re, Fine Y bi for both Var 2 and Normal 1. Others if you print or your RIP software uses them (unlikely). You should also consider getting someone in there to show you how to do them.

  10. Greenish stripe in yellow on JV33-130

    Thanks Mike.
  11. Greenish stripe in yellow on JV33-130

I'm a tech, I wish I was there in person... Cartridges are arranged CCMMYYKK. Machine would display error if you had it wrong (assumes OEM cartridge utilization). Definitely agree that you need to fix the ''cartridge sensor" switch first. What does the line look like? If your test draw...
  12. CG 130 FX mark sensor problem

Plotter adjustments If you plotter starts plotting in the wrong spot, it is the # adjust photo sensor to fix. If it starts in the right spot but gets off as it moves along, the # adjust 400 mm square is probably out (could be some others too). Chris Wallace RippinPC@yahoo.com :wavingflag:
  13. JV33 pros and cons

My Advice 1. 8 pass 720x720 var, or 540x1080 6 pass on vinyl. 12 or 16 pass 2 layer (double strike) is typical for backlight. 2. Dual CMYK is twice as fast all other things being equal. Most users are happy with dual cmyk setup. If you get one and want to change your mind, it is possible...
