  1. Newbie with Questions

This being a hobby makes it a little tough. Honestly speaking, the inexpensive machines were never designed for precision work. We are not 100% sure about the Roland Stika, or the new Grapghtec, being capable of .125". We are sure that the many other inexpensive machines cannot. Question, why...
  2. Your Ebay Experience

Selling in EBay can take a lot of work - although a person can do well. As for competing with EBay - never. We have purchased a lot from EBay. We are extremely reluctant to purchase supplies, as we have seen our competition purchase too much junk. Buyer beware holds true. We are extremely...
  3. I am...

I do not know how we missed this thread. Mark, your work and reputation does indeed preceed you. I only regret, for selfish reasons, that you live in Alabama. Then again, that is probably good for you - as I would be a PITA, trying to learn everything I could! Craig, there actually is a...
  4. Buyer Beware of Desay Graphics On Ebay

From what I have been told, never being around Panthers, the machine is very similar to the high-end Graphtec, like the DGI, which we can vouch for.
  5. Tire Tracks? Pipe dream or possibility??

It all depends on what you term to be "simple". A good set of books comes from Sams Publishing - "Learn ?????? in 24 hours". They are infromative and will teach you to get around nicely. As for learning to draw - watch, read and practice. It does not come easy at all, nor quickly. As for the...
  6. Buyer Beware of Desay Graphics On Ebay

Geary, The Panther is a different machine, all the way around, off-shore or not. Intreza, One of Dave's issues is the constant travel to and from China. It seems that the girls know nothing, and Dave is the only one. We found all of this out when we made an inquiry long time ago. If you really...
  7. Photos of cars

Sam, Are there any cars in particular?
  8. Buyer Beware of Desay Graphics On Ebay

This is very common with Chinese companies. Their government has been trying for a very long time to put an end to this, as it ruins a great deal of reputations. DeSay, like many other Chinese shoemakers, have opened up shop in Canada, and use EBay as their main venue to target American...
  9. New Member just saying Hi

    Welcome from Florida!
  10. Master Vinyl Cutter, USB and Cutting Directly From Corel Draw

Just have to ask.....How in the world did you understand them!!! We have dealt with many Chinese, ON mainland China, and their accent in Toronto has got to be one of the worst!!
  11. Software Package

To a certain degree, they have. As far as copyrights are concerned, "copying" is not that frowned up, AS LONG AS (stress) for personal use NOT commercial. As for the possible implications, most likely nothing, BUT, should there ever be an investigation and prosecution of the infringer selling...
  12. Software Package

Mike, EBay's enforcement policy is crap. We use EBay quite a bit, although our good fortune, and that of others, is due to using our heads! As for illegal items and fraud, they could really care less - and this comes straight from EBay. Their favorite phrase is "buyer beware". The only...
  13. Price On 54" Versa Camm

They are getting cheaper and cheaper. The manufacturers have a problem on their hands. The market is flooded, and retail pricing is dropping. With the return on investment going away - it is difficult to convince others to buy. Couple this with the pressure of imports, and all hell is...
  14. Corner rounder

The accucutter is workhorse. The inital investment, like anything else, takes away from profit - but it lasts forever AND will make the work soooooo much easier. GitRdone - noticed that you are into "birds". Don't know if you do any trap, but it is the difference between hand-tossing the...
  15. looking at HP DesignJet 130nr

This machine that you mention is a wide-format "desktop", that uses dye-based inks. Not what we think you would be looking for. First you are looking at plotters. Now you are jumping from a plotter to a printer......????? Okay Lucy, 'splain something to us. What are you trying to accomplish...
  16. New Merchant Member

Jason, Been looking at your stuff for some time now. Just have never gotten around to calling, although we do have your cats. Glad to see you are a part of the gang!!!
  17. eclipse plotters?

Sounds like they might have really good support! Look.....what is the budget? It is much easier to tell you what you will get for your buck, than just to suggest a machine. Those of us that have been doing it a while know what is what and where, via experience. We are not salespeople...
  18. Hole Punch

Ask your vendor. Anybody that sells punched vinyl should have one, possibly even knowing who had one available.
  19. plotter needed to cut magnetic sheeting

You cannot cut the material. You will only need to score it. The white vinyl on top of the magent material IS what is keeping it together. Cut a small piece with an xacto, and do not go all the way through the magnet - you will see what it is like.
  20. eclipse plotters?

What is an Eclipse plotter? Who sells them? Sorry but I have never heard of that name.
