I have the same thing on my VP540 (Roland)- it is a function of the rip in this case (Wasatch) and does not happen with VersaWorks rip. This helps you not at all of course- but when I saw the title I immediately understood what you meant- kudos for nailing the description. Gene :U Rock:

Just thought of another thing- the heaters cool off *very* quickly- for instance- if you cancel a print by the time you send the print again it takes several minutes to get back up to temp. I run both heaters wide open btw- so that may take longer. Gene

I am noticing a couple of behaviors with my VP540 that are curious. The machine seems to slip from 'sheet scan' to 'full width' scan a lot- I cannot seem to be able to identify when this happens. I print mostly 30" vinyl and if it is not set to 'sheet scan' (menu>submenu>full width...

With the triangle ink I always run the heaters full on- except 54"banners and a couple of sensitive materials. I love triangle, very durable- I can take a print out of the printer as soon as it stops and scrub with IPA with little or no effect.

I used a 60 deg blade on my SP (VP also btw)- 45 for laminated cast.

They will print at whatever quality and speed the Que default you are using is set to. Gene

I tried opening in F7.6v2 this morning and could not- opened in Adobe acrobat and converted to an .eps and that worked. I would upload the eps file- but I cannot figure out how (olfart). Thanks Gene Edit- only half of the top row comes in as spot colors with the correct names that Vworks...

I have been experimenting with this- it will work but it is labor intensive to set up. You need to use the Roland spot color names with the cmyk values and then change to a spot color- VW will then recognize it. I have tried this- he knows of nothing available- could you make this...

Fred- I like your carbonfiber pattern- except for the diagonal highlight which I think would look odd when tiled. Any way to get them without the highlight? Maybe 006, 007, or 008 if possible. Thanks Gene
