  1. Kim Kardashian Snow Blower

I have been a member here for over 5 years and in that time have read many posts about Trademark and Copyright infringements, and that you can't just copy images off the internet and used them for commercial purposes. So, how is it that a ABC television show like Jimmy Kimmel can take an image...
  2. canvas prints

Yes, use framer's tape on the back to cover the staples (see video), also some times I use double sided tape and attach a large sheet of black acid free paper to the entire back side for high end gallery wrap projects. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djJFpSlPhoA
  3. Template building for off road vehicles

That's why I print the grid with vert and horz lines, it allows me to get a TRUE flat image in PS without any distortion, If you start out right (see below) you will not have to do very much to straighten the image, and I use the lens correction filter in PS to make sure it corrects for my lens...
  4. looking for: Flexi 10/10.5 used

I had FlexiSign Pro 8.0 and a few years ago, I just purchased the upgrade to 10.x from Bobby Fosson at CS Sign Supply, he is a merchant member here: https://www.cssignsupply.com/
  5. Template building for off road vehicles

I use low tack vinyl and print a 1"x1" grid over the whole piece, then apply the vinyl to the panels I want to make a template of, and using a black marker follow the outer edge of the panel drawing a line, I also make notes if the panels have returns or need to match up with another panel. I...
  6. Bread Truck

Wayne, can you provide a close-up photo of the seam between the top and bottom panels? Thanks
  7. Take up reel from china for Roland printer...anygood ya think?

The one you show is NEW to me, I have the older style: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Take-Up-Device-for-Roland-Mimaki-Mutoh-Reel-System-Large-Format-Printers-110V-/261539529239?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ce4f88217 And it works great for me. I plug mine into a electric timer so it will turn...
  8. Re-branding and wrap

I agree with 2B, overall looks good, the design easy on the eye, gets the message across, however the "AIR" is a bit lost and the word SEA is all I read at first, (you have to really try hard for the AIR). If the tuck was moving, not sure the customer would get it...
  9. Roland 545EX Blown Power Board

Your next step should be getting a power isolator (back-up), to prevent this from happening again and blowing your new power supply! BTW: Were you able to purchase the new power supply directly from Roland, how much? Thanks for letting us know the outcome.
  10. Roland 545EX Blown Power Board

Have you heard the saying an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? Don't know what caused your problem, but I would bet it was some kind of a power (voltage) spike the came into your printer during the night after you left, it may have been large enough to arc across the original fuse...
  11. Always getting jealous of other decals!

Ok, I found a video showing a automatic resin doming applicator, looks like this is a must have tool for doing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj2oDGMfhf4
  12. Always getting jealous of other decals!

Yes, I can see that, however I specifically wanted to know how Pat regulates the amount of resin onto the surface of each decal out of the gun, ie : 2oz of liquid per decal or just eyeball the amount? In Pat's photo, all the doming looks to be the same height, however if you apply more or less...
  13. Always getting jealous of other decals!

Nice work Pat, what system are you using (brand of epoxy resin) and how do you control the amount of epoxy resin placed on each decal to keep them consistent looking? :thumb:
  14. Always getting jealous of other decals!

The clarity or resolution of your printed image is more dependent on the artwork resolution and printer settings than the media you are printing on. I don't have your brand of printer so I don't know what to tell you, I have a Roland and I can tell you my printer and the Versaworks RIP has...

  17. Dimensioning Tool for Illy?

I just copied this off their webpage: Licenses are no longer platform-specific, but are still limited to one license per user. Multiple license discounts will appear as the quantity changes in the shopping cart. Email us for quotes and education discounts. https://www.hotdoor.com/cadtools
  18. Dimensioning Tool for Illy?

CADTools is the BEST plugin for Illy to make the on-demand dimensions you want to do, I have not found anything else to work as well. CADTools does offer Multiple license discounts, you just need to contact them, the more licenses, the bigger the discount. For example the discount for the...
  19. No wet application for Reflective vinyl...why?

Hey, I just found a video of someone using the 64" Big Squeegee laminating tool to apply large rolls of vinyl, so maybe it will work for your project? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS62p46f2ag
