I don't think there is a beveled version of Serpentine. But most of the font sites have a variety of beveled fonts. All you need is a TrueType version which you can then convert to a Gerber font using the Gerber TrueType Font Converter utility that comes with Omega.

No. Only black and white are opaque. All other foils will color shift unless they are printed on white vinyl or foil. The two available solutions are to setup your jobs with with chokes and spreads to minimize overprinting while trapping your spot colors or to print using process color foils...

First thing to check would be whether or not your Omega has the latest maintenance update installed. The current version of Omega is 5.0.0.1369.
To reduce the halftone effect, switch to Classical Dot and set your LPI to 70.7. Or, if you prefer, switch your halftone effect to Gerbertone Fine. This will make the halftone dots smaller.
