  2. Can a Summa D160 Cut paper Posters?

I don't use Summas (nothing against, just got a Graphtec in a bundle...), However, if it allows the Perf-cut option (or similar with different name...) you should be able to cut posters all but perfectly.... for our Graphtec I set the down for almost an inch, then up for .04" but this "up" us...
  3. NJ I need 200 double sided Coroplast Campaign Signs

...."I need 200 double sided Coroplast Campaign Signs".... Are they not ALL double-sided? last time I looked for a single sided sheet of Coroplast I thought I was good, but every single sheet I turned over has a second side! darn 3d space makes the single-sided coroplast a very high improbability.

  5. HP Latex 800W

interesting - I have not yet printed on the on the clearview, but I would think that the minimum vacuum needed to hold the media would be better than more... there used to be a product for guillotine cutter beds called Prisco Slide - this was a good silicone lubricant that you would wipe as...
  6. HP Latex 800W

oh, and I assume you guys have checked vacuum needed for this specific media (by running tests not from googling specs....) I have found when the media slips it can often be fixed by reducing the vacuum so it is just enough to keep media flat in the print zone. any more and it just causes more...
  7. HP Latex 800W

Why not attach the new media to a roll of old media on the take-up reel and then back up the media until the lead edge is barely past the print zone? make sure you have good heat resistant take to make to splice or you will have tape coming off in the curing zone.... but no need to waste more...
  8. HP 700w printing quality Issue

Our 700w came in with some intermittent connection problems with the printheads - fix was replacing the white ribbon cable that has the contacts to the printheads. But we would get intermittent firing like you are seeing.... it is obvious a printhead is bad, then it just starts working, then...
  9. question about subscriptions

just curious, sorry, I don't use files with the fs extension... but why do you say you cannot edit the pdf? I have quite a few programs that will parse the pdf and edit...
  10. Need Help Perf cut on graphtech fc9000/fc8600

For us we don't like the 'die-cut' portion of the sticker to be perf-cut... the rough edges and all, as well as the sticker can be difficult to remove from backing. However, we also have noticed that perf cutting is slower and we don't really like plotting twice. A compromise has been to set...
  11. HP 700w printing quality Issue

I have had this a few times.... if it was my 700 I would try a head cleaning first just to see if it changes, then if it helped, look at a new plot - then consider putting in a new optimizer print head. (for me the main clue is the plot is the worst on the optimizer, but any of the other...
  12. Latex 570 not printing blue correctly. Comes out as purple

just a few things, make sure your printheads are good, run a calibration, and make sure the original color has the correct profile - greys are very difficult, but you should be able to get a mix that has the correct color and prints clean. DO NOT TRUST CUSTOMER ARTWORK for printable colors -...
  13. HP Latex Cutter

reboot everything and launch any "Barcode server"... and likely a hard re-boot, turn it off, clear the volitile memmory, let it come back then see.
