What brand and version number is your software? I can't advise you on the vinyl other than to recommend against it without knowing that it is suitable for use. While you're in a learning phase, it seems a good idea to buy only what is known to be rated for use in a Gerber Edge.

Pretty much all 15" vinyl will have pinfeed holes that match the Edge and various Gerber plotters. Does the purchase you are waiting to receive include a plotter and software?
