  1. Won't read dongle....

It seems that I need to upgrade the Home Premium version of Windows to a higher version in order to get the XP features to work. I've tried the dongle upgrades and many combination's of installs. Thanks for the help.
  2. Won't read dongle....

I bought a new computer, 64 bit Windows 7, and loaded my 7.62 and it won't read the USB dongle. The dongle works on the other computers so I know it's good. What configuration might work? I know many said they still get this to work, so I need some help please. This is Flexi Pro. Also, on my...

  5. gold leaf clear back paint on glass?

We used to back up with black and then after cleaning the gold we'd do a gentle wash with lacquer thinner to remove the black. We could then varnish and have gold on both sides. The black will provide more durability though.
  6. Advise needed soon flexi 8.6 upgrade???

Big House, I am still using 7.6 and consider upgrading just to remain in synch with the present. If others experience what you are, then I'm better off remaining where I am. I don't do digital printing and send that out to be done. Are there good reasons to upgrade? What do you think?
  7. Thinking about a storefront. Any thoughts, suggestions?

Perhaps there is not a long term lease and you could start being recognized in that neighborhood and then relocate and be recognized as successful. Can you letter a truck on the street parked in front of your shop?

  10. Hack for a pounce wheel CE5000-120?

I've had the pounce attachment on both of my Graphtec's. Not a wheel...a pin that bounces down through the paper. I can adjust the size of the hole by setting the depth of the plunge with the tapered pin. I can adjust the spacing between holes. I can pen plot and then pounce over the pen lines...

With a new sharp blade, 16 is way too harsh a down pressure. I'd back it down to 12 and add a bit if needed.
  16. Removing 751 from Vehicle

For a job like that, I like a bigger steamer. Some of the truck shops have them to quickly clean fleets. I can make arrangements with them to come in when they're not busy. One guy can blast and get a few letters ahead while the other pulls. If it's only a few letters, I wouldn't bother, but...

  19. Post Script Font Help Needed

A friend found a program called CrossFont (runs on the PC) that seems to do the trick. The trial version was able to convert the files to Opentype, which worked. I didn't see an option to convert to TTF. Instead of extracting the .sit file, CrossFont is able to look inside the archive...
  20. Post Script Font Help Needed

So, a customer bought a font family for a project I'm working on and sent it to me. It was compressed with a .sit extension. On my PC I unstuffed it, but didn't find the normal PFB and AMF files for each font. Only the AFM's and the others are .bmap. I tried changing the .bmap's to the PFB's but...
