  1. Looking for Designer

Look through the Merchant Member directory, there are several good ones on this board that do design all day long for smaller sign shops. I sub out almost all my design work, and it makes my stuff look incredible for the customer.
  2. Watch me trace

So THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT! I don't even need to send you anything anymore Eric! J/K...great work as always. I love how fast and perfect you are at it.
  3. Did Avery strike again?

This isn't reflective, this is metallic. There is this same color, and the material wasn't stretched over the gas tank, it was just laid over it wet, then I just heated it up and let it follow the contour, no stretching. The reason I had to do it wet is because there are other graphics that I...
  4. Advantage or Grimco?

Advantage customer here, wouldn't ever shop around. Doesn't mean there isn't a reason to, but I've had nothing but awesome service w/ them. Great people. Just wish I heard from my rep a little more often, but when I need to get him, he's there.
  5. Did Avery strike again?

I don't see how there's any way I can do this thing dry. I can't win on this deal.
  6. What is the best way to post pictures on threads?

You attach them to a message. If you use Flicker you will be told to not use it, because no off site pics are allowed.
  7. Did Avery strike again?

I have a feeling I'm going to be restripping the car and starting completely over. I just have no clue what went wrong. What do you use to cut through any kind of wax that could have been on there?
  8. Did Avery strike again?

Yes, it was done wet...this thing goes the whole length of the truck, but Colorado was right...it does look like the white is lifting, and that's 3M Control Tac if I remember right. Possibility it's Oracal, but OIE, this is going to be painful. I had to remove the old graphic w/ a 3M wheel...
  9. My left arm for a good employee....

I do a TON of subbing stuff out when I can. There's a lot that I can't, but I've started subbing out most of my design work, and a lot of my printing, just so I can manage everything else, and still have a normal life not ruled by my job. I'm not overly busy if I did do some of this in house...
  10. Only in America - is this an A&S Font?

I use this font A LOT Steve, so I knew it was yours, but I had to laugh that it was in an "Only In America" thread about how bad we eat.
  11. Did Avery strike again?

It's cast. We've had it on dozens of excavating pickups that we did for a local company. I just don't get it. I mean, yea, it's Avery...but I've only used it when I had to match an existing color, and I've never had any other trouble w/ this roll.
  12. Well it seems like he DONT want to PAY!

    LOL. LOVE IT!:banghead:
  13. Did Avery strike again?

I had to do a police cruiser that had already been done by a previous company about 6 years ago. We originally did a couple things on the back of the truck, and then we ended up doing the sides. To match the color, I had to use Avery vinyl against my will, but the original work I did, still...
  14. Only in America - is this an A&S Font?

He must be so proud it got used for bacon dipped in chocolate.
  15. Only in America - is this an A&S Font?

Saw this on a link from one of the Failblog pages. It was called "Only in America"....this font looks VERY familiar. A&S Marquee? Didn't I buy these fonts from a MM here?
  16. So...I want to start a yard sign business.

I chose buying an already established company in our community for 25 years, over going to college. I still had to "pay to learn" you might say, because the first thing I needed to do when I bought it was update all the equipment and start over in the aspect, but I still had the customer base...
  17. How can I remove this? Weathered Alumalite Wrap

I have an MBX, I wondered about that. I figured it'd do the trick, but then I'd have the mess that that thing leaves behind, and still not be much ahead, and have another $35 eraser to buy.
  18. How can I remove this? Weathered Alumalite Wrap

I'd rather give away a cheap sheet of PVC than go to all that bother. If it was a print, then yes, but it's cut vinyl.
  19. How can I remove this? Weathered Alumalite Wrap

In a perfect world, yes, but then the whole thing towards the middle turned into 1/2" pieces that were baked on...the other 2/3 is RIDICULES.
  20. How can I remove this? Weathered Alumalite Wrap

Here's what ya do. You call the customer and tell them that they can pay you for 3-4 hours of removal, or that since you already quoted it, you'll lose a few bucks on a sheet of PVC and sell them that for a few bucks more than what you quoted the job for. He took the bait, and I lost less...
