  5. Printed vinyl then plotted

The cut vinyl will be more durable to sun fade and, because it is thinner, not as likely to fail from abrasion. You'll also have less labor in the cut vinyl version. My approach would be to explain the difference to the client and then quote it both ways taking into account the additional vinyl...

  8. SunChemical Font?

I agree ... it's not Bodoni. But it is Bauer Bodoni. Specifically it's the Bitstream version. Virtually every major foundry has one or more Bodoni families in their libraries. There is Bodoni, Bauer Bodoni, Bodoni Antiqua and others. Each is different and each foundry's versions are different.

  16. Question on profit

The one thing you are leaving out is an estimate of your billable hours per day. Just because you want to work 8 hours a day doesn't mean you will ever be able to bill for all of them. Start with 4 billable hours a day and check back in a month or two to reevaluate. So, for example, after you...

  18. Question on profit

I would also add that you don't appear to be marking up your materials, which, if you did, would further reduce your average rate per hour for labor.
  19. Question on profit

If you are coming up short, the reason is usually found in how your estimate of the time it takes to do a job compares to how long it actually takes you. Getting a good handle on estimating time is key to accurate quoting whether manually or by a program.
  20. Question on profit

Your question isn't making sense to me. When I am using time and materials to quote a price the shop rate time has already been calculated to deliver the return needed based on other assumptions I have made ... such as average billable hours in a day, week or month. If those assumptions are...
