  3. printer stopping

Had this very problem last week. Maddening! Tech was called and he asked us how many programs we had open. (six or seven) We closed a couple down and the problem was alleviated. He thinks it's an issue with the capacity of our design station computer. He's probably right.
  4. Font Id. Penelope

At least the title characters names aren't in Trajan! Sorry no help on the font. Just had to insert this.

  6. Univers 65 bold and Univers 55 roman

One hundred and ninety five bucks for the fonts takes these signs out of the profit range.
  7. Univers 65 bold and Univers 55 roman

So we've got this job that requires the signs to match an architect's specifications. And the fonts he's specifying are those above. My question is does anyone know where these can be acquired as free fonts? Or alternatively, do they match fonts by a different name? We've got thousands and...
  8. Omega users

And thank you again Tony for taking the time to work on this problem for me. You're a great resource and friend of Omega users worldwide.

With the help of a tech at Versaworks, I've got it fixed! It's the .eps margin setting in VW itself. For any with similar problems, here's how: Open VW. Click on the Edit, Queue A settings, File Format. Then set the EPS margin to zero. That's it. It'll stay that way as a preference until you...

Wow Fred! You're versed in this stuff, aren't you? You know the funny thing is, is that I believe we had this "problem" fixed sometime before. But then I updated Versaworks with the newest version. And about that same time this started occuring again. I've also updated Omega to 2.61 about that...
  13. Omega users

Nope, they don't. But someone has told me on this board to "adjust page size" but I can't find the post. Even my tech for the software program says it's an internal setting in Omega...has nothing to do with the RIP program. Any help would be way cool.
  14. Omega users

Quick question... How is it possible to change "page size" when exporting .eps files to the RIP program? In other words if I output a square that measures 12"x12", my RIP program (Versaworks) sees the shape as 12.4" x 12.4". I've looked in the options tab of my export filter but don't see...
  15. Pinch roller error on SP 300 V

Does the error message say: "Pinch roll error, invalid position?" or not? That's key to figuring out the problem, in my opinion. If it does, it's just a matter of repositioning the pinch rollers.
  16. This is a Gerber Omega font, correct?

Yep, Commercial script with a little fattening going on. Don't know why I didn't know it right off. Is it 5:00 yet? Thanks all. I'll get my work done yet.
  17. This is a Gerber Omega font, correct?

Since I'm running Omega 2.6 I should think I'd have it. But maybe it's not a Gerber font. Just looks familiar, that's all. Anyone know the name of it? (the script in Interstate)
  18. Problems with selecting text in Omega

Change "line mode" to "character mode".
  19. cutting in versaworks after laminating

You probably know this, but it would definetly account for the Roland not finding the crop marks. One crop market corner is different than all the others. Be sure that you re-insert the media back into the printer with the crop mark that has the little "bar" at the front right corner of the...
