  3. How close do you follow specs when bidding a sign package?

Specs...... ?? We ain't got no specs. We don't need no specs. We don't hafta use no stinkin' specs.
  4. Michael Colella, "merchant member"

You're not from this country, but you must be a form of a republican..................... So, what's wrong with some kid bursting into a room of adults and just screaming his head off about something he just found outside ?? He's just excited and trying to let everyone know................
  5. Discussion Walk away or re-do

Doesn't make sense how the numbers could be different sizes ?? Normally, when someone specifies a height, we will do everything from letters, to numbers, change them to outlines, then do the measurement, which makes the rounds 6" and other flats a little less, but not the other way around...
  6. Michael Colella, "merchant member"

I didn't pick on him. I gave him credit for doing a great job as they are now cutting vinyl quite well. I would however suggest that maybe you read, comprehend and listen better. Perhaps some of his classes would help.................... o_O

Silly goose. He's dead. Dead animals don't sh!t.
  8. Michael Colella, "merchant member"

Hey, me too. Been working on this for the last few weeks. You can see, we just had our scissors sharpened by Robert and they now work swimmingly. That's not some guy loafing at the back hoof, but he's holding the whole project up and not letting it fall over. It did about 2 weeks ago. What...

Aw...... c'mon man.... y'all hadda start somewhere and at some point.
  10. Need Help Large Depth for Signs

So, where did that come from ?? Not all buildings/walls/installations are on corrugated structures. Anyway, your method will promote more birds nests and bees/wasps nest even more doing it that way. Granted, it's an easier instal, but what is the goal here ?? Easy instal or a good job ??
  11. Bull Crap of the day

Pictures..... or it didn't happen. Screen shot of the monitor, one of the rip and the print out itself.
  12. Need Help Large Depth for Signs

Same here. Also, if bees or any other pests or animals decide to build a nest, you don't hafta go up there and deal with it. Just hit it from below with a power washer and 'bingo'..... they're gone in a jiffy.
  13. Rush Fees: do you charge them?

Kinda like already said, ya hafta play it by ear. Once in a while, we can usually gang it in with something else, but if it's continually abused, it will be charged extra. Just have a chat up front and give them a choice. I like that about we can do it as fast as you can afford. Puts the...
  14. Uggghhhh

    Typical.
  15. overlaminate recommendation

What does the manufacturer suggest ?? Not the distributor, but the manufacturer.
  16. Pounce / Vinyl Cut plotters - Recommendation?

We have a 30" Gerber. It can pounce and pounce and pounce and never skew, no matter how much back & forth movement you have. Longest we created was about 10' × 80' That was done in 3 passes and taped it together. Don't know the range of any of those others.
  17. 4'x6' For Sale Sign

That might work in warmer climates, but up here where the ground freezes, thaws, winds, gets washed out by rains and whatnot..... the ground is constantly shifting, causing the sign posts to move. In my neck of the woods, there are so many rocks, they keep coming to the surface and with them it...
  18. 4'x6' For Sale Sign

Yeah nobody said a lotta things, as they weren't asked. Like obtaining permits. Engineer drawings. Insurance. Stamped or not. I would imagine, since it was only the sign substrates involved the other stuff is just understood.
  19. Replacing an Old Pan-Faced Backlit Sign

Yep, you're the only one. Guess ya can't read none too good. Go back and stare at it some more and see if any other letters magically appear before your very eyes.
  20. Why would 3M 7725 be used for a city spec?

No one mentioned 7125. Just 3M 220 to 7725. You need to call Robert and take some 'listening' lessons and sharpen those skills ...... .
