    never had an issue printing on lam - but to make sure it looks correct day and night I would put a mirror print second surface

    no, rich black adds CMY to the mix -- you can also inspect your final output color in the RIP - it may be changing it to something like 60/60/60/60 which indeed comes out muddy - if it is outputting only black it will just look like a 'faded' black
