Do people actually get away with some of these suggestions?
Face it, there are a couple of photoshop actions that will yield some pretty weak results. Doug's right, you're going to end up placing each jewel image onto the letter individually to get it to look right and it's gonna take a while...
Rapid Tac when absolutely necessary...never on glass. I rarely use it, my current quart bottle is probably 9 months old.
roger may come across as a royal prick but the times I've talked to him on the phone he's really a nice guy and his stuff works incredibly well.
Solid burgandy, reverse weed the tan. The little letters in GREAT FOOD AND FUN SINCE 1938 would be a pain to cut and weed. Plus, they're going to be pretty fragile should anyone decide to clean the sign in the future. Reverse weeding should make a better finished product.

Maybe he's still looking for it. I would really love to see a HOW-TO from Lederhead on how he got that to trace great in Flexisign. I can't get Flexi to trace high resolution art worth a squat, much less a thumbnail like that.
I'd have made the white line through the leaf align with the white between the two lines of text.
Both of these are good, basic, knock them out and get paid layouts. Nothing spectacular, just good everyday design.

I've got to address that. The reason what he's looking for is so expensive is it's going to be an annoying mess when he starts calling and has to have 4 little decals tomorrow morning. Then two decals the next day. Then 6 decals but they want their logo on them. Sounds like a complete pain...
