I've had some sucky ones for my JV3 through the years. It just took lots of tweaking, and changing things, and test prints, and throwing material away to get it right. I've still got a long way to go before I learn the ins and outs, but once you nail one down, it's worth it!

I assume by "Horizontal Lines" you mean banding. It depends on the settings rather you get that or not. On a lot of my normal media that I print everyday, I can' run either, and I don't notice banding. If I am printing on a specialty banner material or PhotoTex, I have to run unidirectional...

I had a logo sent to me from a client. When I open it in Acrobat, the font is there, and it looks good. When I open it in Illustrator it isn't converted to oulines, and I can't use it because I don't have that same font. My question is...can I convert this to "outlines" in Acrobat Pro...

Who all did you talk to? I deal w/ Advantage Sign Supply, and they have everything I need most of the time, but I don't know if it ships right from Mimaki or not.

On my Mimaki, I had to replace the pumps when it had "air in the line", because it wasn't the air that was the problem. The different colors quit printing one by one, until I had NOTHIN'. Once I replaced the pumps, and I did a fill up, everything was fine. Not sure about how a valujet works...
