I dumped the Fathead stuff. For the PhotoTex, I believe I just used one of my scrim settings that was already in there. Did pretty well. Fellers told me that you can't contour cut the PhotoTex, but I just put it on the slowest setting possible, and let it take it's time, and it didn't tear...

Did you check iStock yet? Or could you do something like this, with just one person in there bein' wacky?

He's not out anything. He's the one that pushed it, and if it's such a common thing, I'd think he just makes more money, cause everyone will be buyin' more media. That's why they push, keeping your printer printing all day, cause that means you make money, which means they make money.

I believe someone talked about this before, did you try doing a search? I don't get what the problem is if it's printing black. Black is black. How can you even tell if it's using other colors?

Ok, I hate to dig this up, but I just got some too, and I need to print on this stuff soon. I'm tryin' to do a fathead type deal, but am wonderin' how my plotter will cut it. Anyone got a profile idea, or should I just wing it?

Your in Indiana, so am I, I use Meyer Plastics. They are all over this area.

Yea, sounds like positioning. Can you adjust your roll holders to move it where it needs to be? On our Mimaki we can. It can't have anything to do w/ how the roll is wound. I've ordered tons of rolls, and never had a banner come wound outside.

I feel like that's what it's all about. I don't want to have anything to hide, and just keep it open and honest, so then nothing awkward happens later in the line.

I don't mind tellin' him that as long as it's a fact. He had another guy he had doing it in another town, but shipping and all that isn't as easy as just walking to me. The prints will still come out nice, but he'll just have to be ok w/ what they are. He already saw the fatheads, and was ok...

I'm not printing his prints, he's already got his printer for that. What I'm doin' are fathead knockoffs of local high school kids he shoots already, and 2' X 3' Banners on a matte canvas that he sells w/ a whole kit to hang @ graduation parties etc.

He's seen the quality, and thinks it's great. It's not a quality issue, just getting the colors to match. I'm not at all looking for another printer, so he'll get what he gets, I just want to put out the best product I can!

I think you need to go to a sign show somewhere to get your information if you are looking to invest up to 5K in this. These are very basic needs, and you can get them from any vendor you choose, but you need to find a good vendor that you can order from.
