  3. Have you ever made a large Move for work.

Oh yeah - we would've missed alot of things here in Chicago - Sports, Food, Sports, Summers, Summer Sports, Food, Winters??, Family, Friends, the way people are, the way people talk....there was alot to stay here for. All the reasons we're content with the way things have gone.

  5. Have you ever made a large Move for work.

From as far as I can tell - this oppertunity has fallen through. Things seemed to be going quite well via conversations but it's been about 3 weeks since I've had any contact from them. So I can only assume that they have decided to go in a different direction. Which really seems like it might...
  6. I need some opinions

I'll throw in and say I like the last one on the right and the 2nd one in from the left - like everyone has been saying - the others just don't look right. Especially the one with the gray truck. It looks like CapTops & Accessories. It took me a minute to realize it was meant to read the image...
  7. Mimaki Strange Fading Issue

Typically I never ran as high as 45/40 - we were getting weird vertical streaks as well and it was from too much heat. We brought our heat settings down to 35/30 for most vinyls and 30/27 for most banners.
  8. GTO illustration and more T-shirt questions.

In my college years we would take digital images and seperate them into a four color process to be screen printed or etched to metal or stone. To do this you would take your image into photoshop and isolate it into the four colors - C M Y K - then by deleting the layers you could issolate the...

  12. Screen color vs. print color

You can get your screens calibrated but you should always print a sample on actuall material with actuall printer involved to get the customer to signoff - this is for both parties involved to be covered.
  13. GTO illustration and more T-shirt questions.

Damn Joe - that is some nice work! She is a beautiful piece of machinery isn't she?? :loveya:
  14. Mimaki Strange Fading Issue

I wondered about that - wondered why you weren't printing at; at least; 720x720 for quality reasoning. But it's your shop and you can print at what you want is what I came up with as a reason. So I didn't bother with asking. However I don't think printing at a different speed will solve what...
  15. Graphic Design School OR ???

Design school will teach you the elements of a "good design" however the typicall techniques they teach you in design school are geared torward the print market - like page layout and logo design. Which are used in sign making but sign making is not limited to logo design and page layout. It...
  16. Mimaki Strange Fading Issue

    Pictures?
  17. laminating question

Do you have "profile" or type setting on your plotter? If so you should set one up for unlaminated vinyl and one for laminated vinyl. The cut depth and pressure is gonna be different for the two types and you might be getting a little resistance from the laminated vinyls which could - over the...
  18. etchmark or equal question!

Also try adjusting your water to rapid tac ratios. If there's more water then RT then it shouldn't take too long to dry...or maybe it's the other way around. But thats what I would try.
  19. quotation marks

That is a pretty nifty trick - I've never known that...I guess that's what makes me an installation guy and not a design guy.
