They might have use the mounting plate to the cable (wire suspension) system and adapted the standoff back part to go on to it. They do have a wall mount bracket assembly like that back piece that attaches to wall you are showing.
Always cut out two reading when doing small copy. Then you could have picked the dot on the i off with an exacto blade and applied it. Glass is not always the best substrate to get things to stick, so I would have weeded it beforehand and transfer taped it and then "lift" off the transfer tape...
Maybe this should be the next book you should read... "How to Win Friends and Influence People"
Sorry to hear about your grandfather, the apple does not fall very far from the tree.
You have to take all your material costs, double or triple it, time spent times your hourly rate. That consist of permits, time for design, labor for putting together sign and time if you are installing.
Thanks for suggesting that I read the book on business. On another post I started someone else suggested I should read some books to improve my skills.
They might help, but I know that reading the Bible does not make you a saint.
Your right, I did not read the book, just quoting AndyD's second paragraph. That stated that techs are not managers and you want to end up just to be an entrepreneur.
The point I was trying to get across was not being those three catogories or pigeon holing yourself into just one. Think positive...
Thinking that there are three types of people to run a business as stated in another post, techs, managers and entrepreneurs, might not be good to run a muti faceted business.
To run a business that has other businesses involved might need a renaissance man or a good multitasker. To put yourself...
Take it down and bring it back to hot shop, four hrs. Set on three or four saw horses and sand completely and patch bad spots with fiberglass bondo. Use a good primer and cover everything, one coat so copy shows through, do this on both sides, eight hours. Take lettering enamel with a flat and...
My grandfather, a farmer who ran a 200 acre farm use to tell me. "The bees have a specific job, as the horses, cows, pigs and the crops. He as a farmer is the one who controls them all to produce the products he would sell". After 40 years he sold all the land to a builder for development and...
Yikes!
Take off a day to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having in Buffalo. High 50's and getting to 62 on Sunday and it is December. Suppose to break a record from 1901.
Just signed on and the green notification blinking with nine dislikes. You guys are brutal. I just mentioned the...
I am looking for a new printer, looked at the HP and read a lot of threads on likes and dislikes. Have you seen or know of anyone with a Mimaki latex machine. Worked in a shop a few years ago that had a Mimaki and it was a workhorse.
Do not know what you are attaching to, brick wall, wood or concrete block. But with that long of sign sticking
out, any kind of racking will loosen up your attachments, be they tapcons, lags and shields or others.
You will have to have some kind of attachment(s) from keeping it from moving.

I was not looking for a fight. I just came in as a newbie on this forum and posted something and I start to get Aesop quotes and thread highjacking.
To start over with you guys, I inherited a house with a carriage house attached with some extra cash tacked on. So I thought I would take...
Thick skin
Hey Rick, went and looked at some of your work. Is the bowling alley sign the only thing you have designed. At least I have a girlfriend.
Show something you have accomplished, and let's see how thick your skin is. I am sure signmanic will like whatever you do.
