Let him know that laminating is all they do. They are laminate specialists, and are truely the best or you would not trust them with your prints, beside it frees you up to do more designs or installs.

I am very new to creating my own profiles, in fact I just received my i1 and created my first profile yesterday. Long process but great results. I do believe you have to add a media first, then follow the directions.

You are using the wrong color profile! Try looking at some of your suppliers websites for link to profiles for your printer, or mabey the flexi site. The profile should match the material you are printing on.
