thanks for the reply, I am relating to Photoshop not corel paint, I vector design my graphics in Corel Draw I manipulate the shapes in Photoshop , its the photoshop stroke filter that is giving me the problem.. hope this helps in understanding my question.

I agree with the dither type to some extent, I used to print everything with KF diffusion with a realy good results, it just the rip time can not comapre to FM bit I am not sure if that could fix the problem...., so far the only solution was flexi generated gradient..., I am still surprised...

try changing the color space of the gradient, alternate between rgb and cmyk..., I never rely on cmyk color space..., and besides you view your graphics on an RGB monitor within RGB color space.... gotta love color profiling :):toasting:
