I like it Pat. Only observation I might make, is it seems there is too much white in the logo part. Maybe toy with the colors a little more on that.:)

I use both type paints, but dont have any problems with using latex on mdo and getting the vinyl to stick and stay there. I use satin finish most of the time also, in a high quality paint.:smile:

In the sample here, I typed in the lettering in illustrator, I then used the create outlines command (convert to curves), copied and pasted into photoshop on a transparent background, added the bevel effect, saved as a png file , then placed it in illustrator and added the outlines behind it.

If you do the bevel in photoshop, and save as a png file, you can import it in, and it will have a transparent background.

Try sending it to him as an exported pdf. Ive had some problems with sending illy files to corel users, but if I send it to them as a pdf with the box checked allowing illy capabilites intact, it usually works great. I dont know much about corel, so I dont know if you can do that or not.

It was so cold when I did this today, it hurt my feelings. Everything went okay. I applied dry, and as it was two color job, only a couple times did the second layer not want to seat. These were five doors at two locations for a local bank. Only thing bad was it froze my son and I half to death...

On the bevel and extrude flyout, down at the bottom is a slider for height. Set your bevel to one of the complex numbers, then use the slider. Im using cs5, and it works that way for me.:)

Thats the way it works Joe. The thing I was missing, was that when you take the inline to 0.00, you have to hit enter to make the outline solid. Im really liking this new version. Ive been using vinylmaster for years, but the new version is sweet.

Thanks David. Thats what Ive been doing, but I agree, its too many steps. My old version did this the right way. Im sure Im missing something somewhere. I put in a email to the techs. Ill post when I find out.

I never do wet applications on glass. Found that out the hard way many years ago, lol. THanks for the advice. I dont look forward to being in the cold, but need to get it done.

I upgraded to the newest version of Vinylmaster, and Im having a problem. When I use the outline feature, unlike the old version, it places an outline around the letters, instead of behind them, so actually the outline is punched out in the middle instead of being solid. Anyone here get the new...

Whats the coldest you have did any vinyl applications? I have five office doors to do, and its going to be in the 20s and low 30s for several days. Been awhile since I did any cold weather applications.:signs101:
