Latex is the future, but solvent is still king. Anything with a dx5 head. Dx4 is kind of old school now. A print and cut is sweet, but having a separate printer and plotter is way better for production purposes. Don't forget about a laminator. Also, go with a reputable vendor that offers support...
Its complicated. I understand printing for other shops without printers. But installing is not an easy subject. I guess it also depends on other shops around you. If there's a couple guys doing installs only, then its just a matter of time before that shop finds a reputable installer. But if you...
I always get that too, they say oh the guy on so and so street does it for this price, when i say why didn't you go there? They say they're out of business, or the phones disconnected. Its surprising how they open and close, and get stuck with the people used to those prices.
I also got into a 54in. But for your needs, I'd say the bn 20 is the best match. Plus a big squegee from dale to laminate and your in business. With the bn20 you have option to white and metallic. You can make shirts, decals, and more. Plus you wont find nothing at that same price unless its used.
Heres an update. I also notice when i copy and paste, the round edges of letters and numbers appear (not smooth) like a hexagon, when pasting into corel x6.
I would say the general public go for the looks. As a chef, the saying, people eat with their eyes is so true, plus people don't know how to spot the minor mistakes on a wrap, unless its just a total mess.
That's funny, because i called avery directly about some samples, and they flat out said they didn't give any samples out. I haven't printed any avery ever.
