I've thought about it, but I don't have enough demand for it.
You can always try it with white ink and switch back if you don't like it. My tech told me all you have to do is clean the lines if you want to switch back to CMYKLcLm or CCMMYK.
I haven't heard about having to clean it for 45min...

This link will help you find your local Roland dealer. I don't think they charge for VersaWorks because it will only work with Roland printers, you should be able to get a disk for little or no cost I would think...
Are the spots in the same place on each print, or is it random? I've seen this happen many times but the cause has always been contaminated media.
What are you printing on?
I always keep a full set on hand (12 cartridges). When I replace one I order another. That way no matter what I always have plenty of ink. Nothing worse than working late or on the weekend and running out of ink in the middle of a print with no way of getting more.
You could also use an Acrylic Pan Face. Then you don't have to worry about the face "yellowing" over time...
Also ditto what mbarden said ... mark up your materials, you'll be doing everyone and yourself a favor by doing so. I've never heard of anyone selling materials to the customer at cost...
