Call Gary @ Pitman 561-252-8742 Nice guy and well informed.
He can get all the ultraflexx stuff and they are in Florida.
They also have THE BEST PRICE on Epson GS6000 inks.
Question: Are you building a sign or developing a complete marketing strategy?
Are you charging for logo development time?
Why would a restauranteur have a sign guy design their logo? He should hire a marketing company to design the logo, menus, interior decor, uniforms, build mockups, etc...
you have to set the tone. if you want to keep them - put a sign on the wall stating 50% deposit needed.
If you dont want to deal with them - quote the job very high.
i have seen this happen on a seiko 64s. i would have to clean off collecting ink off caps after every 10' of media to avoid the drips from happening. could be a weak pump diaphragm not holding the line pressure. how old is your machine and when was it last serviced. you might need to have...
we looked at the GS6000 and the Roland XC540.
we went with the Epson GS6000 due to speed.
it runs like a champ. been 3 months of heavy use and no hassles.
you can save as a jpg in PS just be sure to set quality to 12.
it is just my preference to work with tiff. those tiffs are part of a large composition.
it all depends on your workflow and what you are doing.
we get a lot of event posters. so we usually get photos and images we usually...
just good habit to save as a tiff from photoshop.
tiff maintains the transparency so if my final composition is done in AI I still have transparent background off a cropped image.
my old seiko 64s with wasatch rip only read tiff, eps, and pdf files.
when you scaled it to 300% and saved at 300dpi you basically reduced the dpi to 100dpi. when you scale things in photoshop it tries to fill in those areas of your spread out pixel. photoshop does not do this well.
if the image is 3000 pixels wide the widest you can go without visible...
no matter what rip your using it's going to be a good idea to at some point invest in calibration equipment. You already have coloburst. Why spend 3-5 grand on another rip that you will most likely need to adjust a profile. Instead spend 1K on an eye-one and dial in your colors. I'm sure the...
switch to 3640G. let your prints outgas completely before mounting. Wipe the coro with a rag and alcohol to remove any of the mfg residue before mounting.
sorry to bust your bubble but your still on the Mutoh boat... sort of.
The epson GS6000 is a mutoh 1614 with epson electronics and epson head.
Mutoh assembles the Epson GS6000 in AZ.
Not a bad thing though the Epson GS6000 is a great printer. I have one.
