First and foremost, as with UV printer inks, the pliability is not there for conformable materials. Typically, frog juice and its family of liquid laminates is intended for flat surfaces, flat sheet work. As you have experienced, hingeing stresses and ultimately "cracks" the laminate.

UV options Your assessment of the Roland is right on. At this point, Roland views their UV as a prototyping machine for the packaging industry. But, fear not, Roland WILL develop and deliver a UV machine for the mom and pop sign shop.
