  1. FTP clinet software

WS FTP is my all time favorite for the PC. Too bad its a paid program now. Filezilla is pretty good but a bit cluttered for my taste. Another freebie not mentioned is the Fireftp plugin for Firefox. Go to Tools > Add Ons then search for fire ftp. It
  2. Epson Pro GS6000 Printer

Today is the 1 month anniversary of our GS6000. It has been flawless so far. There have been no problems with adhesion on any of the medias I have tried so far. Also, I just finished a 25'x19' graphic on dreamscape for a local hospital. I ran this mural unattended over a weekend popping in 3...
  3. Mutoh 1204 Printing on Engineer Grade Prismatic

I just printed a couple of samples that came out nicely on my Epson GS6000. I am pretty sure this will work on the mutoh as well.
  4. Epson Pro GS6000 Printer

I was up and running on this machine from box to print within 4 hours. The install went smoothly. I started out by running some of our sample prints on 3m 180C in 720x720 8p. The canned profiles supplied with the ColorBurst rip were dead on. The prints matched the samples from my custom profiled...
  5. work table tops

Self healing cutting mats or glass would be my two preferences.
  6. Bringing in an HP FB6100 UV....

I completed a 90 demo of Caldera several months ago. I definitely prefer it over Onyx. It is amazingly fast but requires its own workflow (for me at least). You set up a watched folder for incoming jobs. After a file transfers, it generates and low res preview and pre-rips the file to some type...
  7. Mutoh 1204 Printing on Engineer Grade Prismatic

I have ran about 6 rolls of this on my XLJet. Static was a huge issue. Every so often, the white, non print area of the film would build up so much static that it would actually pull a bit of magenta out of the head and leave a thin magenta line. Calibration and profiling looks like it would...
  8. Bringing in an HP FB6100 UV....

I too am looking at bringing in this machine. I wish I could give you some personal feedback but we are still in the planning phase. By talking to other users, I have learned that this is one of the most reliable platforms for flatbed printing developed. The build quality on the machine is...
  9. JV33 160 Rip for MAC

I completed a 90 day demo of Caldera. I can say it is a very nice rip and very intuitive. Unfortunately, it is also one of the pricier options out there. You can run it on a mac or under linux. Colorburst also runs on a Mac but sadly, the printer support is lacking on the mac version.
  10. Let's play...."What's my computer problem?"

    Oops, sorry dude.
  11. Let's play...."What's my computer problem?"

I have another suggestion for a relatively quick fix. 1 Start up in safe mode 2 Create a new user with the necessary privileges you need 3 Log in as the new users and see if the problem persists.
  12. Favorite Quote from a Customer Today

My all time favorites: How bad will it look? I just need a photocopy of this mirror and/or piece of glass. I don't want to pay for a scan just toss my poster up on your color copier and give me a letter size print. The best conversation ever went something like this Employee: Sir I am...
