I'm kinda looking to go with more of a cartoonish' look rather than an actual photograph. I'll be dropping it behind some text for a pizza/sandwich shop sign.
I'm trying to find clip art of a pressed steak sandwich or panini with no luck. Can anyone steer me in the right direction or recommend someone who could create this for me?

You are correct! That is what happened...I just don't see justifying another upgrade price to be able to use open type. $1000 or more just to be able to use 12 fonts?
I was hoping that Cad Link would have stepped up with an update or a patch for it... but i figure its highly unlikely due...
I had the same thing happen to me when i got version 7. A few weeks after I purchased it 7.1 was released that supports Open Type fonts. I can no longer use LHF fonts in signlab as my version only supports true type. Being a loyal customer I was rather disappointed.

I run E6, but i use illustrator8 to convert images to .jpeg ... since signlab does not support .jpeg exports. All that i have to do is copy and paste right from signlab and everything drops in perfectly?? Maybe cs wont let you do this?
I am very happy with Accu-Cut from Trim USA. I've converted to it because of the Avery failure and it has been outstanding. 3M Is also a great film as well. I use both on a regular basis.
Avery WAS a great film and it's ease of application was incredible but I can't justify giving them another...
I think you might be able to find it at www.signfonts.com Not too sure of the name though. For some reason it wont open on my girlfriends pc right now???
