  1. Photoshop won't open certain files

Try and distill the file to a pdf then open the pdf in illy or photoshop. This may clean it up. Sometimes PS, EPS have errors that photoshop or illustrator croaks on. Also if its a big file you might be running out of Ram. Check to make sure that you don't have a static size swap file.
  2. Mcafee

Go with Kaspersky. It's always the best and is light weight. The rest are useless and bloated. http://www.kaspersky.com/
  3. graphics get ruined while rolling up

  7. JV33-160 Problems

Is it still under warranty? I was going to say try adjusting your media comps but your printing Uni. Have you tried printing bi-directional with any luck? In any case if this was us, I would get a Tech out.
  8. JV33-160 Problems

Why did you replace the head and capping station originally? What resolution are you printing, with what software?
  9. JV33-160 Printer

Ohh just FYI, raster link III isn't the greatest. It gets the job done, but it's horrible at nesting.
  10. JV33-160 Printer

Stan B have you adjusted your Comps? I think your experiencing banding, which can be adjusted. We've had our JV33-160 for about 6 months now and love it. We use the original raster link and can print everything under the sun with it. No issues with banding after we adjust our comps. This is...

  12. Vehicle Image Collection?

Does anyone know a Generic Image collection for Vehicles. "Bob Smith" comes in and wants to slap his logo on the side of his Ford f150 and e150. I want to show him what the graphics will look like. It would be a collection of, say all white vehicles and give 4 perspectives, Front leftside...
  13. Alternate OS on a diagnostic machine

Your Primary OS + USB drive enclosure. Much easier.
  14. JV33 to print Roland Versawork Print/Cut Crop Marks

I assume that Roland Versawork won't drive the Mimaki? Your only bet is Flexi or Onyx if that is the case.
  15. Whoa!!! e-mail Graphtec about 64 bit driver support and just see what happens!

Mark your barking up the wrong tree. The whole world doesn't support 64 bit drivers yet. I've recently switched to 64 bit Vista and Dell doesn't even support it. If Dell doesn't fully support vista 64 how can you expect someone like Graphtec? Just use an older box 32 bit on your graphtec or...
  16. Mimaki JV33 Problem -

Ask them to honor their service agreement and send someone out to fix it. Nicely at first. If that doesn't work, get progressively more un-nice. Ask to speak to a supervisor / Manager ask them for a the specific reason they won't send someone out to fix your Mimaki since it's still under...
  17. Boot issues!!!!! Please help!!!!!!

Definitively replace the Drive. Sometimes they just fail. Go with a Western Digital or Seagate they generally have a lower fail rate. Seagate Barracuda 500 gigs for $64.99 at newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=14&name=Internal-Hard-Drives If this is a business...
  18. mimaki jv3250spf

Jv33-160 here. Stick with Onyx. Flexi doesn't do good color. Stay with stick with the ss2 inks until your comfortable with the machine. You need to establish a baseline so you know what is good before venturing into the area of bulk inks. I myself have not ventured into that area and I've...
  19. Mimaki JV33 Problem -

JV33 here as well. Sounds like you have a pretty serious issue that would warrant a service call. To me it sounds like an issue with the internal hardware. Why haven't you called a service tech? Are you out of warranty?
  20. FireFox Woes

Might be a certain site your visiting that has something not quite right with it causing firefox to freak out. Try updating your flash player, I've been reading that Flash is the number 1 reason why browsers crash.
