2009 machine that has been upgraded from a LX800 to a LX850. It has been on a service contract until a few months ago, when it was decided to be sold. The magenta/yellow print head is not being recognized by the machine, which happened just after the service contract was cancelled so it didn't...
It may be your material... could be old, or not good for printing on.
Or, possibly your preheat is set too low, or not working (to properly heat the material).
You may want to try a new USB cable.
We've had recent issues with our Summa, and that is what is was.
We also needed to do a firmware update, because it messed that up as well.
Does anyone have the print head installation/replacement document for an Agfa Anapurna M2 ?
Or even some notes from someone who has done it before would help.
Thanks in advance.
Wasatch - save to RTL file
Have Wasatch 7.1 RIP loaded, but can't figure out how to save to a RTL file... required to print through the Agfa program to the printer.
It's saves it as a PRV file.
I haven't tried it on Gerber machines, but have used this serial adaptor on others with great success, and it's only $16.50

We have one but the middle pinch wheel is broke.
For the rest, it is in very good condition.
I'll give you a good price on the whole machine.

When powered on, it runs continually...
1) stop button doesn't stop it
2) something in front of safety sensors doesn't stop it
The yellow stop button light stays lit, the run button lights (and clicks) when pressed, but goes off as soon as released.
When the stop button is pressed, nothing...
Looks to me like you have a bad print head.
There are 2 ways for a print head to go bad, 1) nozzles plugging and 2) electrical.
This looks like an electrical or board issue on the print head.
I appreciate your response and picture to demonstrate, it's special the time and effort given to help.
But, it isn't the problem.
I have experienced that problem when I've had the heat setting too high (which it did that pattern the whole width of the material).
This has a similar looking...
The right side prints fine, but the left half prints leaving a lighter pattern going the length of the vinyl.
I've attached a pic of the left side. (the compensation isn't set correctly, but this is just a test print to show the problem)
Different material doesn't make a difference.
Had the...
To not waste any ink, we have had very good success doing the directions below.
Do a nozzle wash (which includes filling the capping station with cleaning fluid), then before the soaking time is up turn off the machine (regular power and then main power).
The print head is left sitting in the...
We were thinking it was the heaters, but now not so sure. The reason we were thinking this is, the platen to the left of the vinyl was cooling down... but when we feel along under the vinyl, it is warm right along.
Attached is a picture of what the left side of the print looks like... the...
Just started having issues with the heaters on our JV33 160.
The heaters come on fine right across on the printer, but after that it doesn't keep heating on the far left side (pre and print heat - post heat is fine).
If I bump up the heat setting while printing, the left side will kick back in...
