  1. Ink cost on HP latex?

I use the embedded web server all the time for that to make sure I quoted a job correctly. You do have to do some cost assignments first to get your actual costs correct and you also have to make sure you update anytime there is a cost change. Plus, I usually add 10% to the materials cost to...
  2. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

That's strange. We have had our HP315 for almost 5 years and have never had a single issue other than figuring out the importance of profiles with different media for gray tones especially. I haven't ever had a down day except when I forgot to order ink in time LOL. Maybe you just got a lemon
  3. Hello from Florida!

Welcome to the Forum and Florida. Hope you enjoy your time at both.
  4. Dibond Box signs

That That is basically what I was leaning towards with 4x4 aluminum posts since they want the signs to be approximately 4-1/2" deep. easy peasy
  5. Dibond Box signs

One of my customers sent me this to quote with no detail. I have a few ideas on how to build it but I figured I would ask the group what you would do to make these. I make something similar for another client using 1/2" PVC but they are calling for 3mm dibond boxes. Let me know your ideas...
  6. Buying A Sign Business

Sounds like the owner must be a good guy. I got into the sign business over 20 years ago when a source of mine offered to sell me his business and made me a offer I could not refuse (I was a print broker at the time and was one of his biggest clients). He trained me for several weeks on the...

  8. Relocate 4 turtles in Florida

OP - Florida is a pretty big state. Posting the county might help you get a response that actually helps. I know several trappers...
  9. Should I buy this saw?

Absolutely! I bought a similar used one about 5 years ago and wondered why I never bought one earlier once we started using it! Great investment for any sign shop
  10. Facebook Marketplace anyone?

What was the cost per lead? How many leads converted into actual sales? Leads are great but a waste of time if it doesn't convert to money
  11. Prints on clear acrylic

I know this is an older thread but at this point I have purchased at least 100 of printed acrylics from Signs365. I can't speak highly enough about this product. Our customers LOVE them! And it could not be any easier to buy from them. Their turn time is fantastic.
  12. How would you make these table style signs?

Got a request for quote from one of my biggest customers. They are putting in a series of walking trails in a new development and in addtion to some normal types of signs they want (5) of these displays. I have never done one of these before and wanted to know how you guys would make them. I...
  13. Which plotter to replace my CE6000? Used FC8600 OR New CE7000 ?

$900 buys a lot of wine & cheese... I would not hesitate to buy the FC8600. My last FC was 17 years old when I sold it and upgraded to a larger one. never had a single service issue. My current FC8600 is already 4 years old and not a single issue either. That being said, when I sold my...
  14. Did anybody else get a Signs 365 surprise?

Darn. I didn't get one. Maybe because I have been ordering acrylics from them for the past few months already so they didn't need to advertise to me?

  17. Font help

Does this look familiar to anyone? Local resto shop has asked me to recreate for a Jeep they are restoring for a client. Thanks in advance
  18. General Formulations GF830 Automark vs Arlon SLX+

Thanks everyone for your replies. Went ahead and ordered some SLX+.
  19. General Formulations GF830 Automark vs Arlon SLX+

Actually, I was asking about the new 830 AutoMark which is a cast material as well. I use the GF230 AutoMark for partial wraps and love the way it prints and is very easy to apply especially for a calendared material. I really haven't seen any reviews on the yet.
  20. General Formulations GF830 Automark vs Arlon SLX+

Anybody have experience with these two materials? Trying to decide which on to try out and google reviews are no help. I have a coupe of Sprinter vans to wrap for a good client and both of these seem to be getting good reviews but no side by side comparisons are available
