I had a similar problem a couple months ago when I switched computers and my new computer had windows 10. I ended up having to buy a new usb to serial adapter that had a windows 10 driver for the adapter. If you find such an adapter your problem will be fixed.
I have a used Summa S75T Cutter for sale. The cutting width is 30" and has a tangential head. The cutter can read registration marks for cut/print workflow. Asking $3500. The cutter is in good condition and operates just fine. You can email me at signspot@verizon.net if you have any questions...
I have a used Summa S160T Cutter for sale. The cutting width if 64" and has a tangential head. The unit can read registration marks for cut/print workflow. The unit has the motorized take up but one of the wires has been severed so I have never used it. Asking $5900. The cutter is in good...
Over the past 13 years I have had Dells, Signburst and HP's. I prefer HP machines. You can also find some steep coupons on HP's. I bought a new system a few months back and maxed out all the specs and was able to get it for around $1800 because they were running a 40% promo at the time.
I just picked up one for $350 from someone who bought it and didn't use it. I have been using it for just a couple days and it works pretty good. I think there is definitely room for improvement. I was measuring a facade today and the portion that I needed to measure was about 15' ft off the...
I have talked with Dave a couple times. I might call back and talk to him about the possibility of a loose chain. It's not the biggest of complaints as the other issues I have with the laminator can't be fixed because they are part of the design.
Just thought I would share my initial thoughts on my new US Tech laminator. I purchased it about a month ago and it has been a bit of a learning curve from what I'm use to. This is our second laminator and we have found it a bit more difficult to run than our other that we have had for over 10...
That's a thought. It would be nice if I could find a more simplified method.
I'm running Winplot, I also have CoCut but don't have it loaded on my PC at the moment.
So I have a Summa S160T and a S75T. I would like to be able to cut from two different computers and able to choose which cutter I send information to. Can this be done? In the past we have been jumping the USB cable from computer to computer based on which computer we need to cut from. I...
Yeah, it looked pretty slick here in my shop. It's definitely something I would use almost every day when out doing site surveys. Of course the sales guy said it was very accurate. It runs about $500 which seems pretty steep but I can see it paying for itself in the long run. Curious to see...
Glad that worked for you. Next time you clean it you shouldn't have to really take anything apart that I remember (at least from what I remember back with I had an SC540). Just raise the cover and clean the encoder. I loved my Roland printer but it did seem that once one problem came up...
