I have a customer request to print a bunch of black text on white signs on Chromaluxe panels ranging from 4x6 to 16x24. My experience so far has been printing photos that have heavy ink coverage, with polypoplin fabric on top. I'm having two issues-
1) the black text has green ghosting around it...
Has anyone had good or bad experiences sending wrap newbies to training?
I'm hoping to add vehicle graphics to my service offerings next year if I can lease an appropriate space for it. My plan is to lean on Lowen Trade Source, Wrap Academy, Addendo, or another hands on learning resource to get...
I had a customer bring in an ACM sign to color match (one color text on white). I printed a swatch sheet from Onyx Go Plus on an Epson S40600 to get a CMYK value to match. The swatch value was used to set the text color in InDesign and the Indesign file was exported with as CMYK with a built in...
Double check with a dealer or sales rep, but
M3 - $40,000 to $50,000 spitball
M5 - $70,000-$80,000 spitball
They have various options for service plans and parts
There may be discounts at Printing United and December (there were in 2022 anyway)
I talked to Canon at ISA23. The white ink feature activation is around $6000 USD. They think the white ink will be 30% to 50% more than CMYK per liter.
The 1650 is about $70,000 USD and the 1630 $40,000 to $50,000 depending on add-ons. Maintenance plans are an additional cost. I'd guess the M series are similar priced since the M changes are incremental, but the white ink capability is a low 5 figure add-on. I'll be asking at ISA!
Thanks. Cathy was really helpful.
Firesprint and Signs365 both print their banners in Michigan, which is further than I want to deal with shipping and risks from cross dock damage.
Good Morning
I'm looking for a trade vendor in the Western US (ideally Seattle area) who can print single sided 72x120" banners on 13oz or thicker media with hems and grommets. My customer is used to banners with photos that I run on an Epson S40600, so inkset with comparable gamut and dmax...
Sublimation ink works with polyester fabric only, but it dies the fabric as opposed to sitting on top like HTV. I would recommend talking to Conde Systems about your applications and the F570. They have been my sublimation supplier since 2004 and are solid Epson resellers and have excellent support.
I'm looking for a solution for printing photos and scanned paintings for holiday ornaments on small pieces of aluminum or steel with highly saturated colors and fine detail. Two UV printers that I have looked at are Direct Color System's 1800 series and Epson's V7000. Both have 1.5 picoliter...
I have a customer request to wrap a powder coated outdoor transformer cabinet. I would be using 3m IJ180C with overlaminate. I have a few concerns
The cabinet dimensions are 45Dx92Hx148L
The cabinet may get warm
The powder coat has a dimpled texture (see photos) that may create voids
The air...
We're still at the testing stage and have done a few dozen posters. I'm bidding a job for 1300 posters that I'm planning to cut with this process. A flatbed cutter would be a better tool, but we don't have one. Yet.
My team has successfully cut Briteline 9mm poster paper with our S2T's tangential knife. The trick is to to experiment with cut depth like you would "die" cutting stickers so that there is just enough backing to hold together, but pop apart when flexed. You'll need to allow adequate spacing...
