on our stuff, temp is around 70 degrees f all yr...humidity is what kills us...sometimes its like trying to breath through jello...so i bought a dehumidifer and stuck it right next to the printers...
most of my problems were solved after i did that...
i think you are barking up the wrong tree. the problem is not weather or not your printer will handle the paper you have...the problem is whether it will consistently handle the jobs you have without problems, all the while providing a high quality print...for that you need a production level...

another way to go is to laminate regular white vinyl with regular laminate, and have your client use wet erase markers. these work great, leave no ghosting whatsoever, and will stay for years with no problems. the material is much less expensive than the dry erase material and seems easier to...
1. how good of a customer are they? if they are a regular customer and they usually spend a lot over the course of the year, redoo, and eat the cost...
if not i would redoo for half price.

i have been doing printing for about 10 years now, and i have only seen a very small handful of peeps that call themselves graphic actually have any skill at design work. 99.999% of people that actually call themselves graphic designers couldnt design themselves out of a paper bag...the word...
we had a brother for about 3 or 4 years. they put out a rock solid machine. i had no mechanical problems with it. i sold it and would i buy another one....no
heres why. prints faded after about 3-4 months. i started to see my customers coming in with their shirts i did for them and only a...
i have a base seal 55" lam, and the mod i did was 2 fold...first i added roller bar wheels to the front so i can bring my whole finished print from the mutoh over, set the bar down and start the lam...next i used an old strip of cutting mat and glued it to the back where the lam comes out so...
so there is a couple of things you have not told us.
1. did you insure package?
2. did you pack package or did customer pack it himself
3. did you ship on your account, or on your customers account.
4. what kind of written policy do you have ie signage regarding customer packed shippements...
if you are only adding up what it takes in 1 year of business, that does not give you a realistic idea of the value of a full setup. large equipment usually depreciates in 5 years. you should be taking what you would of done in 1 year and multiply by 5 years. if the numbers work for 5 years...
Really, cutting the fluted side is cake...it's processing them after that that is a real wear and tear on our hands. We are using scissors for that part. Will a roller cutter cut coro without ruining it?
