  1. Signlab 11 Contour cut

It's supposed to. Click on it and delete it. If there is a cut layer there someone put it there. Just for giggles why are you turning a cdl into a pdf to cut?
  2. Signlab 11 Contour cut

That's to show you clearly where your cut line will be . As long as it doesn't print a dashed line you should be good to go.
  3. Screenshot: What software is this?

Possibly. Not enough of screen to be sure, but the palette at bottom is about right.
  4. Plotter Confusion - Summa or Graphtec

The channel over cutting strip is a big reason why I love my graphtec. It is a tank. I think if I asked it real nice it might cut a 2x4:roflmao:
  5. 1-shot Cleaning Brushes

I was taught sign painting, composition, pen and ink washes, fashion illustration etc in school right before everything changed, lol. I remember seeing plotter cut color separated art on rubylith for the first time. Changed so much. Now I see the toys scattered around the shop as I get closer to...
  6. 1-shot Cleaning Brushes

Mineral spirits, mineral oil. Old p has it pretty much down, gino too. Lots used motor oil etc much to same effect. I think I have two or three left from days gone by but they're toast. Just momentos.
  7. Need Help Roland BN-20 "Setup Sheet" error

Exactly, I could see the front sensor in the video or I would not have said anything. But if op has pulled it out a foot or so and gave it a try there you go. Not talking about the op but there are a lot of bn 20s used on the market. Pinterest folks have grabbed on to them without...
  8. Need Help Roland BN-20 "Setup Sheet" error

Try pulling the media out past the sensor. If you can see the sensor it does no think the media is loaded. Sensors should both be covered.
  9. Need ideas for a business heading

Two businesses my wife and I own. Have advertised both in print and online. Online wins hands down every time for response that turns into invoices. As far as categories if you really want to be in the local fishwrapper maybe, printing/graphics.
  10. Hope this title is fitting.......................................................

There is a high end detail shop next to mine. He knows to tell his customers to stay away from some coatings if it is a work vehicle that needs lettering and does the detail work after it is lettered. Ceramic coating is not cheap by any means and you better be up front with your customer before...
  11. 52in Foot Shear

Panel and table saw for acm is the way to go. As for 080 on a stomp shear, I have a very old 52 inch shear and I'm a big boy. 080 is double tough. takes a synchrinized duo, lol.
  12. STUcK...Rowland VersaCamm VP 540i....STUcK

Do not ever buy a used machine that you cannot see run or have a nozzle check in hand. If it sat for three years with no carts it's most likely toasted to the point of costing more to fix than it is worth. Trade it in on a new one and get the discount for trade in and you'll have a nice new...
  13. Best option for printing onto aluminum blanks in scale?

I just saw a reel last night on a new flatbed that can sight read your blank position on belt and place art on each piece, kind of like some of the better lasers. The demo showed a fist full of guitar picks just randomly tossed on belt and machine found and printed each one where they were as...
  14. Opinion Screen-printed shirts - Quality check on aisle 3

Agree with previous poster. First off not a good print. Then, of course, the shirt is not fully cured which results in what you are seeing. Been screen printing t shirts 43 years now, I've pretty much seen it all. ( famous last words, lol)
  15. Opinion Screen-printed shirts - Quality check on aisle 3

That's because that is a patch for a problem during curing. Also a no no.
  16. Holographic Window Film as seen in London - New Bond Street

Looks like printed holographic vinyl at a glance. I would imagine the big suppliers have something like it in stock.
  17. How Should I Apply?

I would try to suggest a printed film, not perf on outside. Does not affect tint, and is opaque like styrene. Styrene is not a long term permanent anything. Too bad he already tinted could have done second surface and gotten a real sexy look.
  18. Weeding small labels

I bought a small vinyl printer just for this type of job. I have a couple customers who order tons of small labels loaded with type. Print, lam, cut, ship. Machine paid for itself in 2 months. Just think of all that labor you will save on to be used for other jobs and increase profits. Not only...
  19. Decal stock advice

I would get an aggressive vinyl and laminate to match.
