Are those graphics applied to raw wood?
we have run into this before.
as such we proof side by side, showing the customer requested and our suggestion for improved visibility.
who said anything about "lowballing"........
you asked if the amount you listed was too much and MOST (not all) of the replies are what others can get, NOT what YOU should charge.
If you like the price you stated, they pay that price and continue to be repeat customers in the future. then what...
agreed, that price is more than we can get.
if you can great, if that is the going rate for your area all the better for you
we just did 30 of this exact combo (size and material) with full coverage and was 127.83 EA
we use the GOOD > BETTER > BEST approach. and have visuals to show the difference
also from the very first conversation, ask
what is the budget
what is the intended use
How do you want it to be perceived, as this item reflects YOUR business.
looks cheap = YOU are cheap
looks professional =...
Permit Amount + Time involved + material + Misc = Price the customer pays.
meaning there is no "set price"
Each town we work with has different rates depending on the type, size, and location for the intended sign.
if your suppliers are unable to cut the material for you, really odd if they can't.
Try calling a local machinist / CNC operator and have them cut multiple sheets of material, you then apply graphics as needed
Grimco sells aluminum with reflective sheeting pre-installed.
contact whomever you get your substrate from.
or get the aluminum blanks and apply the reflective as needed
