My first plotter was a graphtec and replaced it 3 years ago with the FC5100 - they are work horses!! Bought the 5100 for 5 grand - think you would get your $$ out of this one if there isnt anything wrong with it. My experience with their support is a whole other story - dont go there!!
I just got back from a certified 3M wrap seminar and the 3M rep said that is why the ridges are in the middle of the squeegie - to sharpen them with. Just run it back and forth in the edge of the ridge to sharpen it.
I have had this problem as well and exported it to my desktop as a jpeg or tiff and drag and drop into versa works. Takes awhile for it to load into VersaWorks and a really long time to rip and print.
