  1. New to the cutting world - need help please

I use Corel Draw with CoCut. Flawless software. You can get versions of Corel Draw that are 2-3 years old for 75.00 online. With a real serial number. CoCut will run about 550.00 though. I do not know any way around that.
  2. Would you please express your opinion for pricing?

May I privately email you about cnc plans, and how they interface with your software?
  3. application tape question

I will try the 45 degree. I was taught to lay it almost flat back onto itself when removing the paper. It is worse in humid weather. Thank You.
  4. application tape question

If there are any users of Oracal 651 and Gerber HP, I have a question. When using HP vinyl, I have good luck with thevinyl sticking to the application tape rather than staying on the paper when peeling. With the Oracal 651, it is a bugger. It seems to want to stay on the paper. I do use a high...

  9. Removing frozen signposts

From the sound, they are parking sign Post (the pounding in gave it away). I always have to just take the pick pole and chop out all the frozen dirt around them. Usually only 6" down, and it takes a minute, then its loose dirt after that. Post hole directly next to it for install. Ouch.

Yes........it was -30 with the wind chill today in Augusta, ME. Thankfully, I did not have to dig any holes today.

You can get about 25.00 each for a double sided corroplast yard sign here. Luckily some of my customers have not noticed that you can buy them on line for one dollar.
  13. mdo vs metal faced mdo

Recently, I had a customer that wanted a typical, flat painted sign, and I usually use regular MDO. I have had good luck with MDO, having signs out there that have yet to peel after 12 years. The ones that have been out there the longest were painted using my old method. Caulk the edges, latex...

Up here in Maine, most shops charge a per square foot rate. Some charge 10.00 per sq. ft. and get it. Here in Augusta, I get only 7.00 per sq. ft. since there are 2, maybe you could give a small discount.

  16. vinyl sticking to latex paint

I thought you meant cut a mask from vinyl, apply it to the board, then remove app. tape, which would not stick any better than the letters, not what you meant obviously, sorry
  17. vinyl sticking to latex paint

I used one shot up until now. Hand lettering and for vinyl and airbrush. Maybe I shall go back to it if nothing else works. A question for you then. Have you found a vinyl that you can airbrush one shot onto and always have it stick? I say that, because I have had it work well with oracal, but...
  18. vinyl sticking to latex paint

First off, thank you for the replies. This second time using latex, I was using a flat latex , when the worst scenario occured. I couldn't even pull up the application tape without the whole letter coming off. I will try a satin or gloss , and then only high performance vinyl and see how that...
